Job summary

PeopleStrong in Mumbai seeks a Structural Design Manager (Level 2A/B) with 10 to 15 years of design management experience to lead structural design efforts for projects and ensure timely, quality deliverables.

The role requires strong proficiency in ETABS, STAAD.Pro, SAFE and AutoCAD, with coordination across disciplines, conducting constructability checks, and guiding design reviews to meet project schedules.

Qualifications

• B.E. Civil or MSc/Structures required.
• 10–15 years of design management experience.
• Strong knowledge of ETABS/STAADPro/SAFE.
• Experience coordinating across disciplines and managing design teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with other disciplines to resolve design issues.
• Identify critical design items and lead design teams to propose solutions.
• Facilitate design review changes via workshops/meetings with consultants.
• Conduct design and constructability checks and issue drawings on schedule.
• Contribute to development of processes, design review procedures, and templates.
• Ensure policies and guidelines are followed as per norms.
• Resolve site issues promptly in coordination with internal and external teams.
• Lead technical discussions, share knowledge, and promote teamwork.

Roles and Responsibilities

Role Objective: To develop Structural Design and manage timely deliverables to project management to help the organization deliver projects to the customers in time and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with other disciplines in exploring the options to resolve the design issues.
• Identify the critical design items at each stage and manage the design teams in proposing efficient solutions.
• Get the design review changes implemented by way of technical workshops/meetings/communication with consultants.
• Conduct required design and constructability checks and issue the checked drawings as per the schedule.
• Proactively contribute to the development of processes/ design review procedures/ templates.
• Ensure that laid out policies, processes and guidelines are followed as per norms.
• Quickly resolve the site issues and meet site requests in coordination with internal and external teams.
• Conduct technical discussions, share knowledge and promote teamwork culture.
