Job summary

TYPSA India is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to lead building design projects, delivering detailed calculations and drawings using international codes. You will coordinate with architects, clients, and vendors, and guide junior engineers across multiple offices.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and the ability to manage time-critical deliverables while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Master of Engineering degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in buildings and structural engineering schemes assessment to detailed design.
• Experience with RC/Steel structures and international codes (Euro Code, British Standards, American Standards).
• Understanding of General Arrangement, RC/Steel detailing drawings, and guiding technicians.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and design RCC/Steel/Steel Composite buildings across sectors (high rise, industrial, commercial, stadiums, airports, rail facilities).
• Develop structural concepts to complement architectural designs.
• Lead a team of assistants and drafters to deliver detailed designs and calculations.
• Prepare and check detailed structural calculations and drawings per project QA procedures.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Experience into analysis & design of RCC/Steel/Steel Composite buildings of various sectors like High Rise, industrial, commercial, Stadiums, Airport terminal buildings and railway freight facility buildings and bridges
• Ability to develop Structural concepts to effectively compliment Architectural designs
• Demonstrate full commitment to Safety and Quality
• Understanding the basic structural engineering principles and leading a team of assistant engineers & drafters in delivering detailed design
• Preparation and checking of the detailed structural calculations and detailed checking of the drawings in line with the project quality procedures
• Capable of interacting with all stakeholders including client and vendors
• Good spoken and written English language skills, communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Should be open for short travel and deputation to other offices, where required
• Experience with all types of buildings and related structural design schemes.
• Develop safe and efficient structural solutions and undertake designs analysis and preparation of calculations as per national and international code standards.
• Provides specialized technical inputs to studies and designs for specific area of expertise.
• Performs quality control Responsibility includes timely and accurately technical delivery of project task assigned.
• Ensure that all deliverables as per organization quality standard procedures.
• To prepare a design standard, technical specification and finalize list of drawing with the drafting team.
• To carryout Detail Design of Building Components such as slabs, beams, columns, framed structures & foundation using Indian & International Standard code in Practice.
• To carry out Client meeting/ Design Coordination as per requirement of Domestic / International Assignment.
• Problem solving skills, able to propose alternative solutions for problems encountered.
• Experience in complete life cycle of a design project within Building environment.
• Able to work in a diverse team spread across different geographical locations.

Your Capabilities and Credentials and Qualifications:

• Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience working in buildings and associated structural engineering schemes assessment to detailed design.
• Experience in Structural Design for Buildings using RC / Steel materials in GCC region and international standards such as Euro Code, British Standards, American Standards and SBC are preferred.
• Understanding of General Arrangement, RC / Steel detailing drawings and guiding / checking technician work
• Experience on conceptualization of structural design based on Architectural concept
• REVIT understanding is preferred
• Experience in BIM management as an additional skill will be preferred
• Must be outgoing and self-motivated with a strong desired to excel; and the ability to lead others.
• Must have strong time-management skills and ability to multitask and maintain focus and discipline
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
