Job summary

JSW Cement is seeking a seasoned procurement professional to source, negotiate and purchase materials and services, manage RFQs and reverse auctions, and drive cost-efficient purchasing.

You will plan and budget procurement, prepare contracts, oversee PO processes, monitor supplier performance, and lead vendor assessments to cut cost per unit while ensuring quality and timely delivery.

Responsibilities

• Responsible to source, negotiate and purchase materials & services from potential vendors.
• Planning and budgeting of purchase functions, involving cost estimation, contract negotiations.
• Develop negotiation strategy and lead negotiations for select commodities.
• Sending online RFQs & Conducting Reverse Auction based on internal estimates on ARIBA tool for getting the best price for materials & services.
• Fulfilling operational purchasing needs such as planning, issuing & following up on Purchase orders delivery and shipment schedules.
• Continuous reduction in procurement cost per unit & fulfilling procurement targets on cost, quality, delivery & availability.
• Finalize & Prepare Purchase Order, Job Order, Agreements & Contracts and ensure compliance of end users to contracts/agreements.
• Negotiating with suppliers to obtain the best deal for individual products or longer term discount.
• Effective Management of vendor database
• Handling sourcing through identification of cost effective vendors/suppliers for procurement with an aim of reducing cost per unit while improving quality & reliability.
• Lead Vendor Assessment & Management Process.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality standards, delivery time & best prices and ensure all the criteria are met according to the organizational requirements and expectation
• Switching from OEM to OPM vendor to save procurement cost per unit.
