Job summary

Shri Venkateshwara University in Meerut is seeking an Inventory Clerk to manage stock levels, record receipts and disbursements, and maintain accurate stock registers.

The role includes purchasing, data entry into ERP systems, material handling, receiving, storage, and issuing supplies to departments, labs, or offices, with a strong emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance. Relocation to Meerut is required for eligible candidates.

Responsibilities

• Inventory control: Track stock levels and record incoming/outgoing material.
• Purchasing and records: Prepare purchase orders, obtain quotes, and data entry into ERP systems.
• Material handling and procurement: Ensure efficient receipt, storage and issuance of materials; maintain stock registers.
• Receiving and storing: Unload deliveries, inspect for damage, and organize items in warehouse or storeroom.
• Issuing supplies: Fulfill requisitions and distribute materials to university departments, labs or offices.
• Maintenance and safety: Ensure hazardous materials are stored safely and maintain organized storage areas.

Role & responsibilities

• Inventory Control: Track stock levels, record incoming and outgoing material
• Purchasing and Records: Prepare purchase orders, obtain price quotes and enter data into computerized inventory systems or ERP software conduct regular physical inventory counts.
• Material Handling and Procurement: Ensure efficient receipt, storage and issuance of various materials in accordance with SOP. and maintain Stock Registers.
• Receiving and Storing: Unload freight, inspect deliveries for damage, and organize items safely in designated warehouse or storeroom shelve
• Issuing Supplies: Fulfill requisitions and distribute materials to various university departments, labs or offices
• Maintenance and Safety: Ensure hazardous or sensitive materials (like lab chemicals) are stored safely and keep the storage area clean and organize
• Candidate must relocate to Meerut / near by location
