Job summary

Neeraj Kumar Gupta is seeking a Store/Inventory Controller to manage receipt, storage and issue of construction materials at the Dadri site. The role requires maintaining accurate stock records, implementing FIFO, and ensuring security of assets.

The candidate should have experience with civil and electrical material handling and coordinate with Purchase and Accounts to reconcile stock and deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for receipt, storage, issue and accounting of all materials, tools and assets at site/store.
• Verify quantity, quality and condition of materials and report shortages or damage.
• Maintain stock records, registers, material ledgers and issue/receipt documents.
• Ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO) to prevent damage, wastage.
• Control access to store; prevent unauthorized removal and documentation.
• Regularly verify stock and reconcile with records.
• Investigate and report shortages, excesses, losses, damages and wastage immediately.
• Prepare fortnightly stock and inventory reports highlighting issues.
• Maintain complete records for inventory control, audit and management review.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Accounts, Site and Project teams for receipts and reconciliation.
• Ensure security and preservation of materials and assets under custody.
• Report any risk of loss or deterioration to management without delay.
• Keep store clean, systematic and easily identifiable.
• Aim for zero unexplained stock variation.

Role

• Take complete responsibility for the receipt, storage, issue, custody and accounting of all materials, tools and assets at the site/store.
• Verify quantity, quality and condition of materials received and immediately report any shortage, damage or discrepancy.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date stock records, registers, material ledgers and issue/receipt documents.
• Ensure proper stacking, identification, preservation and stock rotation (FIFO) to prevent damage, deterioration and wastage.
• Control access to the store and ensure no material or asset is removed without proper authorization and documentation.
• Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile physical stock with records.
• Investigate and report shortages, excesses, losses, damages and abnormal wastage immediately.
• Prepare and submit fortnightly stock and inventory reports, highlighting shortages, slow-moving/damaged materials and other issues requiring attention.
• Maintain complete records required for inventory control, audit and management review.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Accounts, Site and Project teams for material receipts, issues, requirements and reconciliation.
• Ensure proper security and preservation of company materials and assets under his custody.
• Bring any risk of loss, misuse, shortage or deterioration of materials to management's notice without delay.
• Maintain the store in a clean, systematic and safe condition and ensure materials are readily identifiable and accessible.
• Ensure zero unexplained variation between physical stock and recorded stock through disciplined and continuous inventory control. & responsibilities
