This role requires expert-level skills in jewellery repair and modification, including soldering and diamond setting. Candidates should have 5–7 years of experience in a luxury environment and be familiar with gold melting processes. Store Jewellery Craftsman (Karigar)

Location: Bengaluru & Delhi

Position Type: Full-Time

Department: Store Operations / Customer Service

Reporting To: Boutique Commercial Manager / Store Manager

Role Objective: To deliver expert in‑store jewellery repair and modification services, perform old gold melting for exchange processes, and manage repair spare stock with accuracy and discipline. The role requires consistent delivery of high‑quality craftsmanship, timely service, and adherence to audit, compliance, and safety protocols in a luxury boutique environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Jewellery Repair & Modification: Perform high‑precision ring resizing, soldering, diamond/gemstone setting, and polishing across gold and platinum jewellery while maintaining luxury‑grade finish.
• Ensure all repairs are completed within committed turnaround timelines.
• Old Gold Melting & Valuation Support: Conduct melting using appropriate techniques as per exchange procedures, follow SOPs for melting, purity analysis, weight recording, and recovery, and provide technical inputs to the sales team during gold exchange assessments.
• Metal and Gemstone Expertise: Work confidently with 14K, 18K, 22K gold and platinum, apply proper repair techniques based on metal characteristics, and accurately identify and handle diamonds and gemstones during repairs or settings.
• Repair Stock Handling & Weekly Audits: Maintain and manage in‑store repair spares, tag and store securely, tally opening and closing balances daily, conduct weekly audits, and coordinate with the Boutique Commercial Manager for variance reconciliation or reorder needs.
• Safety, Compliance & Workshop Maintenance: Follow store‑level SOPs, compliance, and safety protocols for tools, product handling, and repairs; operate machinery safely and responsibly; maintain a clean, organized, and professional workshop at all times; log all service activities and inventory updates.

Skills & Competencies Required

• Expert‑level skills in soldering, resizing, diamond setting, filing, and polishing.
• Proven ability to work with multiple gold karats and platinum.
• Familiarity with melting procedures, workshop tools, and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to luxury‑level finishing.
• Competence in basic record‑keeping and stock tracking.
• Ability to work independently, manage time, and coordinate with team members and clients.
