Job summary

IG3INFRA LTD in Chennai is seeking a Store Incharge to manage material and inventory for ongoing construction projects. The role requires receiving, inspecting, recording, issuing materials, and ensuring FIFO procedures on site.

The candidate should have 2-6 years of experience in construction store operations and a Diploma or Graduate degree in Civil, Material Management, or Supply Chain, with proficiency in Excel and ERP systems. Male candidate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and record all incoming materials.
• Organize and maintain materials; ensure FIFO.
• Issue materials to site engineers, subcontractors, and workers.
• Prepare stock reports and maintain GRNs, Issue Slips, and Return Notes.
• Coordinate with procurement for replenishment; liaise with vendors/site teams.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance in store area.

Key Responsibilities

Material Management

• Receive, inspect, and record all incoming materials, ensuring they match purchase orders and delivery challans.
• Organize and maintain materials in a safe and accessible manner.
• Issue materials to site engineers, subcontractors, and workers as per approved requisitions.
• Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) system for material consumption.

Inventory Control

• Maintain daily records of receipts and issues in material registers or ERP software.
• Conduct periodic stock verification and reconcile with physical inventory.
• Identify and report slow‑moving, non‑moving, or damaged materials.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly stock reports and submit them to the Project Manager and Head Office.
• Maintain accurate records such as Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs), Issue Slips, and Return Notes.
• Assist in internal and external audits related to store operations.

Coordination

• Coordinate with the procurement team for timely material replenishment.
• Liaise with vendors, transporters, and site teams for smooth material flow.
• Support site engineers in identifying material requirements.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure proper storage of hazardous or perishable materials.
• Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and safety within the store area.
• Comply with company policies, safety standards, and audit requirements.

Education

• Diploma or Graduate (preferably in Civil / Material Management / Supply Chain).

Experience

• 2-6 years in construction store operations/other store operations.
