Job summary

Synthite is seeking a Store In-charge for Raw Materials, Packing Materials, and Additives in its Stores/Supply Chain setup in Coimbatore. You will oversee receipt, storage, and issuance of materials, ensuring strict adherence to quality, safety, and company SOPs.

Role requires 2–5 years in store or warehouse operations within manufacturing or food processing, with strong ERP/SAP and MS Excel skills. Coordination with multiple departments and audit readiness are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Diploma in supply chain, commerce, science or engineering preferred.
  • 2–5 years in store/warehouse operations in manufacturing/food processing.
  • Knowledge of ERP/SAP and MS Excel; GMP/HACCP understanding is required.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and store materials per procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock availability.
  • Issue materials to production based on approved requisitions.
  • Follow FIFO/FEFO for inventory management.
  • Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment requests.
  • Ensure labeling and traceability of all materials.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness and 5S standards.
  • Prevent material damage, contamination, and pilferage.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Production, Quality and Planning.
  • Perform daily stock verification and periodic physical inventory.
  • Maintain inventory documents and ERP transactions.
  • Monitor shelf life and avoid issuing expired materials.
  • Support audits (internal, customer, and certification).
  • Ensure GMP, BRCGS/FSSC 22000, HACCP, and safety compliance.
  • Report inventory discrepancies and operational issues.

Department:Stores/ Supply Chain

Reporting To:Warehouse Manager / Supply Chain Manager

Job Purpose

To manage the receipt, storage, inventory control, and timely issuance of raw materials, packing materials, and additives required for production while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and company procedures.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
  • Receive, inspect, andstorematerials as per company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock availability.
  • Issue materials to production based on approved requisitions.
  • Follow FIFO/FEFO principles for inventory management.
  • Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment requests.
  • Ensure proper identification, labeling, and traceability of all materials.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and 5S standards.
  • Prevent material damage, contamination, and pilferage.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Production, Quality, and Planning departments.
  • Perform daily stock verification and periodic physical inventory.
  • Maintain all inventory-related documents and ERP transactions.
  • Monitor shelf life and ensure no expired materials are issued.
  • Support internal, customer, and certification audits.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, BRCGS/FSSC 22000, HACCP, and safety requirements.
  • Report inventory discrepancies, non-conforming materials, and operational issues to management.
  • Supervise material handlers/storeassistants and ensure adherence to SOPs.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and inventory accuracy.
Qualification
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in any discipline (Supply Chain, Commerce, Science, or Engineering preferred).
Experience
  • 2 to 5 years of experience instoresor warehouse operations in a manufacturing or food processing industry.
