Job summary

AgroStar in India is seeking a Store Expansion Lead to identify new markets, evaluate locations, and build a strong pipeline for expansion. You will coordinate with internal teams and external partners, manage launch costs and timelines, and ensure smooth store setup and early post-launch support.

You will travel for feasibility studies, build relationships with landlords and local stakeholders, and track progress with dashboards to keep leadership updated on risks and milestones.

• Manage end-to-end store expansion from market assessment to launch.

• Own store launch execution with multiple internal teams to ensure readiness.
• Engage landlords, vendors, contractors and local stakeholders for smooth execution.
• Prepare and track business cases, expansion costs, timelines and budgets.
• Partner during post-launch phase to resolve gaps and ensure performance.
• Maintain expansion dashboards and report progress, risks and milestones.

Job description

ROLE

• Manage end-to-end store expansion, including identifying new markets and locations, evaluating potential, building the location pipeline, coordinating with internal teams and external partners, managing launch costs and timelines, ensuring smooth store setup and launch, supporting the initial post‑launch phase, and tracking expansion progress and risks.
• Conduct market and location feasibility assessments, evaluating farmer potential, competition, accessibility, rentals, and overall business viability.
• Build and manage a pipeline of potential locations, working with internal stakeholders to evaluate, shortlist, and finalize sites.
• Own store launch execution, coordinating with Operations, Procurement, Finance, People Practices, Branding, Projects, and other teams to ensure timely readiness.
• Manage landlords, vendors, contractors, and local stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of commercial and operational requirements.
• Prepare and track business cases, expansion costs, timelines, and budgets, ensuring launches are delivered within approved parameters.
• Partner with the Store Operations team during the initial post‑launch phase, resolving operational gaps and ensuring stores are set up for successful performance.
• Maintain expansion dashboards and regular reporting, proactively highlighting progress, risks, delays, and key decisions required to leadership.

REQUIREMENTS

• Freshers or candidates with 1–2 years of experience in sales, business development, retail, field operations, or a similar role.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable with extensive travel and on‑ground market visits.
• Passionate intrapreneurial mindset with a desire to work at the grassroots level and drive impact in India’s agricultural sector.
