Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is seeking a Senior Storage and Backup Administrator to manage mid to large-scale storage environments in a dynamic setting. You will handle system configurations, migrations, and infrastructure upgrades, while mentoring L1/L2 engineers and aligning with cross-functional teams for optimal delivery.

The role requires hands-on expertise with SAN/NAS, EMC/NetApp/IBM storage, and enterprise backup tools (Networker, Avamar, Commvault, Data Domain, DPA).

Qualifications

• Experience with EMC, NetApp, IBM Storage environments.
• Experience with storage infrastructure management and performance tools.
• Experience with SAN and NAS.
• Experience with enterprise backup tools (EMC Networker, EMC Avamar, Commvault Backup Systems, EMC Data Domain and DPA).
• Serve as Senior Storage and Backup Administrator.
• Coordinate with Vendor and key stakeholders.
• Experience managing large scale dynamic enterprise environment.
• Analytical and critical thinking skills.

• Level 3 break-fix support for mid-range and high-end Backup and storage products


• Basic solution design as per requirements.


• System configuration and migrations.


• Backup and Storage Infrastructure upgrades.


• Mentoring L1/L2 engineers through training


• Regular auditing of the infrastructure and standardization as per industry best practices


• Liaise with other functions (Systems, Network) for performance and delivery.

• Knowledge of EMC, NetApp, IBM Storage environments along with Brocade Switches.


• Experience with storage infrastructure management and performance tools


• Experience with SAN and NAS.


• Experience with enterprise backup tools (EMC Networker, EMC Avamar, Commvault Backup Systems, EMC Data domain and DPA).


• Serve as Senior Storage and Backup Administrator


• Coordinate with Vendor and key stakeholders.
