Job Title: Storage & Backup Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Storage & Backup Engineer Level 2 to join our IT Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintenance, implementation, and operational excellence of enterprise-level backup and storage systems. This role requires strong IT infrastructure skills, deep storage & backup knowledge, and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managed service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain the backend infrastructure of backup environments running Cohesity, Commvault, and others.
• Build new backup environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructural issues.
• Serve as escalation point for backup client issues.
• Assess storage infrastructure and plan for optimization and modernization.
• Maintain & patch current Commvault & Cohesity infrastructures.
• Assist Backup Administrators with escalations and complex troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with managed service providers for reliable storage and backup operations.
• Plan capacity, analyze utilization, and optimize storage environments.
• Integrate storage technologies (SAN, NAS, Object Storage) with backup systems.
• Ensure data protection, backup, and disaster recovery strategies are operational.
• Contribute to infrastructure planning (VMware, Network, Linux, Windows).

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Storage Administration: Experience with NetApp, Dell Isilon, Data Domain.
• Backup Solutions: Hands-on with Veritas NetBackup, Commvault, Cohesity.
• Protocols: NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, FC, RAID, Object Storage.
• Scripting & Automation: PowerShell, Python, Shell scripting, Ansible (nice to have).
• Experience with enterprise deployments and hybrid environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Commvault & Cohesity.
• Certifications related to storage, Commvault, or Cohesity are a plus.
• Experience in ITIL-based environments or similar frameworks.
