Job summary

LTM is seeking a Storage Backup Engineer to administer enterprise storage and backup systems across client entities. You will ensure data availability, integrity and disaster recovery readiness, supporting data center operations under the ITSS model.

Responsibilities include proactive capacity planning, incident resolution, and governance alignment, with opportunities to automate and improve efficiency. Prior experience in storage, backup, and ITIL is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• ITIL Foundation certification is preferred.
• Experience with data center operations and enterprise IT environments is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Storage Administration: manage SAN switches, storage arrays, NAS devices and health checks.
• Backup Operations: administer backup solutions, tape libraries, archiving systems and offsite handling.
• Incident/Problem Resolution: provide L2/L3 support and root-cause analysis for infrastructure issues.
• Disaster Recovery Support: assist DRaaS solutions and ensure DR readiness.
• Governance & Compliance: align with ITSS governance, cybersecurity and audit requirements.
• Continuous Improvement: identify automation opportunities to improve resilience and efficiency.

Role Description

Storage Backup Engineer ITSS Managed Services

Position Overview

The Storage Backup Engineer will be responsible for the administration support and optimization of enterprise storage and backup systems across client Group entities This role ensures data availability integrity and disaster recovery readiness supporting both corporate and industrial operations under the ITSS shared services model The engineer will play a key role in data center operations SANNAS management archiving and compliance

Key Responsibilities

Storage Administration

• Manage SAN switches enterprise storage arrays and NAS devices
• Perform configuration monitoring and health checks of storage systems
• Ensure proactive capacity planning and performance optimization

Backup Operations

• Administer enterprise backup solutions tape libraries and archiving systems
• Manage offsite backup tape handling sending and recycling
• Ensure compliance with ITSS disaster recovery and business continuity requirements

Incident Problem Resolution

• Provide L2L3 support for storage and backuprelated incidents
• Conduct root cause analysis RCA for recurring infrastructure issues

Disaster Recovery Support

• Support DRaaSIaaS solutions provided by Client Holding
• Ensure readiness of disaster recovery sites and compliance with ITSS continuity standards

Governance Compliance

• Align storage and backup operations with ITSS governance cybersecurity and audit requirements
• Maintain accurate documentation of configurations changes and operational reports

Continuous Improvement

• Identify automation opportunities in backup scheduling monitoring and reporting
• Recommend improvements to enhance resilience reduce costs and improve efficiency

Required Skills Competencies

• Strong expertise in enterprise storage systems SANNAS and backup solutions
• Knowledge of tape libraries archiving operations and disaster recovery frameworks
• Familiarity with ITSM tools ServiceNow Remedy or equivalent
• Understanding of ITIL processes Incident Problem Change Capacity Availability
• Solid troubleshooting analytical and documentation skills

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science IT or related field 68 years of experience in storage and backup administration
• Certifications preferred VMware VCP Microsoft Certified Windows Server NetAppEMC Storage ITIL Foundation
• Experience in data center operations and enterprise IT environments is an advantage
