Job summary

Navlakha Management Services in Mumbai seeks a senior Storage/Backup Architect to lead the design, engineering, and governance of the Storage/Back-up capability across on‑prem and cloud environments.

You will drive DR, ransomware readiness, and automation, partnering with Infra, Cloud, App, and Security teams to deliver secure, scalable data protection solutions and measurable improvements in recovery readiness.

Role Purpose

Lead the design, engineering, modernization, governance, and operational excellence of the Storage/Back-up capability for Storage / Back up, delivering secure, resilient, scalable, supportable, and measurable enterprise technology outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design scalable enterprise storage, backup, and recovery solutions aligned with business continuity, resilience, and operational requirements.
• Develop backup, restore, retention, and disaster recovery strategies across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
• Lead restore validation, recovery testing, backup health checks, and risk assessments to ensure recovery readiness and service reliability.
• Analyze backup failures, storage utilization, capacity trends, and operational risks to recommend service improvements.
• Drive automation, reporting, and operational workflows to improve backup reliability, administrative efficiency, and platform governance.
• Partner with infrastructure, cloud, application, and security teams to deliver data protection solutions for projects, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
• Create solution documentation, architecture diagrams, standards, implementation guidelines, and audit-ready operational evidence.
• Manage capacity planning, storage optimization, lifecycle management, compliance, and service governance across storage platforms.
• Deliver measurable outcomes by improving recovery readiness, reducing operational risk, strengthening data protection, and enabling automation-led modernization.
