Job summary

Sourceright Technologies is seeking a Steering System Designer to lead the design and development of steering systems for a small L7e-category vehicle. The role requires hands-on experience with three-wheeler steering architectures, component selection, and layout optimization.

The candidate should have completed at least one full vehicle program in steering system design for two- or three-wheelers, with strong knowledge of GDT, ASME Y14.5M and ISO standards, and experience in FEA and validation

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in steering-system design for two/three-wheelers; knowledge of steering layouts.
• Knowledge of handlebar steering systems.
• Experience with kinematic schematics and rack-and-pinion design.

Responsibilities

• Lead steering system design and development for a small L7e-category vehicle.

Position: Steering System Designer (TK68ST RM 4399)

Department : Vehicle Engineering Design

Qualification : ME/MTech/BE/BTech/DME in Mechanical Engineering

Job Responsibility : Lead steering system design and development for a small L7e-category vehicle.

Vehicle Program Experience : Must have executed at least one complete vehicle program in steering system design and development for two-wheelers or three-wheelers.

System Design Experience : Hands-on experience in three-wheeler steering system architecture, component selection, and steering layouts.

Core Technical Knowledge : Knowledge of handlebar steering systems.

Engineering Calculations and Studies : Experience in steering-system kinematic schematics, rack-and-pinion system design and development, and steering articulation studies.

Homologation Knowledge : Knowledge of steering-system functionalities, performance parameters, and homologation requirements.

Development and Validation Knowledge : Basic knowledge of materials, FEA, DVPs, and testing specifications

Manufacturing Knowledge : Understanding of sheet-metal, casting, forging, and other manufacturing processes.

GDT Knowledge : Knowledge of ASME Y14.5M and ISO GDT standards for creating 2D drawings.

Communication Skills : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Industries/Companies : Piaggio India, Atul Auto, Tata Motors Passenger Cars, Mahindra MRV, Tata Technologies, and FEV India.

Software Skills : CATIA V5 and MS Office tools.
