Job summary

Infosys is seeking a skilled STB Testing Engineer with 2-5 years of experience to validate Set-Top Box and OTT platforms. The role covers testing across IPTV, DTV, VOD, Live TV, and streaming services, including EPG, recording, and middleware components.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform functional, regression, integration and system testing for STB and OTT apps.
• Validate IPTV, DTV, VOD, Live TV and streaming services.
• Test EPG, channel navigation, recording, playback, parental control and middleware features.
• Execute test cases and report defects using defect-tracking tools.
• Verify video/audio quality across devices and networks.
• Collaborate with development and product teams for issue resolution.
• Conduct end-to-end testing of content delivery workflows.
• Analyze logs and troubleshoot application, middleware and device issues.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and QA activities.

We are looking for a skilled STB/OTT Testing Engineer with 2-5 years of experience in testing digital TV, IPTV, and OTT video platforms. The candidate should have hands‑on experience in validating Set-Top Box (STB) functionality, OTT applications, video streaming services, and end-to-end testing across multiple devices and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing for STB and OTT applications.
• Validate IPTV, DTV, VOD, Live TV, Catch-up TV, and streaming services.
• Test EPG, channel navigation, recording, playback, parental control, and middleware functionalities.
• Execute test cases and report defects using defect management tools.
• Verify video and audio quality across different devices and network conditions.
• Work closely with development and product teams for issue resolution.
• Perform end-to-end testing of content delivery workflows.
• Analyze logs and troubleshoot application, middleware, and device-related issues.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and QA activities.

Required Skills

• 2-5 years of experience in STB Testing, OTT Testing, IPTV, or DTV Testing.
• Strong understanding of OTT platforms and video streaming technologies.
• Experience testing STB platforms such as Android TV, Linux STB, RDK, or Hybrid STBs.
• Knowledge of IPTV protocols and streaming technologies.
• Experience in test case creation, execution, and defect tracking.
• Understanding of EPG, VOD, Live TV, DVR, and Middleware concepts.
• Familiarity with tools like Jira, TestRail, QC/ALM, or similar.
• Good debugging and analytical skills.
