Founded in 2004 by Poonam Bagai, herself a cancer survivor, CanKids KidsCan, the National Society for Change For Childhood Cancer In India partners with hospitals, medical professionals, and state governments to enable access and best standards of treatment, care and support across 60 cities and 22 states of India.

Catering to childhood cancer patients from primarily underprivileged families, CanKids is present in 141 hospitals across India. Through our signature programYANA (You Are Not Alone)– CanKids provides medical, drugs & diagnostics support, accommodation through Home Away from Homes, , patient transport, blood support, nutrition & rations, education and counselling support.

In order to increaseAccess2Care, CanKids has MOUs with 8 state governments asknowledgeandtechnical partnersfor childhood cancer and 16 State Projects Across India.

Department Overview

The National Outreach Program (NOP) of CanKids works to enableequitable access to quality treatment and supportive care for children withcancer across India. By collaborating with government stakeholders, hospitals,NGOs, and CSR partners, NOP implements strategic programs like Change forChildhood Cancer (CCC), Home Away from Home (HAH), and Hospital Support Units(CHSUs). The program plays a critical role in expanding pediatric cancer care networks, strengthening hospital systems, and aligning with national and global initiatives on childhood cancer.

Role
Overview

The StateCoordinator is a leadership position responsible for end-to-end programdelivery of the CanKids’ National Outreach Program within the assigned state.The role entails oversight of government partnerships, hospital engagements, program implementation, team management, budgeting, and reporting, under the broader Change for Childhood Cancer(CCC) framework. The incumbent will ensure effective delivery of signed MoUs,compliance with program targets, and continuous service expansion for childrenwith cancer and their families.
