Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG in India seeks a skilled Product/Test Engineer to drive production release, ramp-up and sustaining activities for power/controller products. You will lead test programs and ensure readiness for high-volume manufacturing across sites.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with Advantest V93000 (V93K) or Teradyne J750, strong data analysis, and the ability to collaborate with global R&D and manufacturing teams to optimize yield and cost.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Solid experience in semiconductor Product Engineering and/or Test Engineering in high-volume manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with Advantest V93000 (V93K) and/or Teradyne J750 test platforms.
• Strong experience in test program development, debugging, correlation, characterization, and production release.
• Experience with controller products or controller ICs, mixed-signal and power-related applications.
• Understanding of semiconductor production testing, electrical characterization, yield analysis, and data analysis.
• Experience in sustaining engineering and cost reduction projects including test time reduction and multisite optimization.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with global collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Support products post-PR7.1 milestone with primary responsibility for production release, ramp-up, and sustaining activities.
• Drive test program and test hardware release to high-volume manufacturing, including correlation, qualification, documentation, and production readiness.
• Provide technical support for production and sustaining issues, including yield improvement, test escapes, debugging, and root cause analysis.
• Lead cost reduction and productivity initiatives, including test time reduction and multisite optimization.
• Collaborate with R&D Test Engineering, Product Engineering, Design, and manufacturing/test sites for smooth product transition and stable production.
• Perform electrical characterization and data analysis to support product and test limit optimization and continuous improvement.
• Support test program migration, conversion, and optimization across different ATE platforms.
• Work with assembly and test sites to resolve production issues and ensure robust test processes.
• Support product changes, qualification activities, customer return investigations, and sustaining requirements throughout the product lifecycle.

Job description

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Support products post-PR7.1 milestone, with primary responsibility for production release, ramp-up, and sustaining activities.
• Drive test program and test hardware release to high-volume manufacturing, including correlation, qualification, documentation, and production readiness.
• Provide technical support for production and sustaining issues, including yield improvement, test escapes, test program debugging, and root cause analysis.
• Lead cost reduction and productivity improvement initiatives, including test time reduction, multisite optimization, test hardware optimization, and other COGS improvement activities.
• Collaborate closely with R&D Test Engineering, Product Engineering, Design, Application Engineering, and manufacturing/test sites to ensure smooth product transition and stable production.
• Perform electrical characterization and data analysis to support product and test limit optimization, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
• Support test program migration, conversion, and optimization across different ATE platforms as required.
• Work with assembly and test manufacturing sites to resolve production issues and ensure robust test processes.
• Support product changes, qualification activities, customer return investigations, and sustaining requirements throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
• Solid experience in semiconductor Product Engineering and/or Test Engineering, preferably supporting products in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Hands‑on experience with Advantest V93000 (V93K) and/or Teradyne J750 test platforms; experience with both platforms is highly preferred.
• Strong experience in test program development, debugging, correlation, characterization, and production release.
• Experience with controller products or controller ICs, preferably involving mixed-signal and power-related applications.
• Good understanding of semiconductor production testing, electrical characterization, yield analysis, and statistical/data analysis.
• Experience in sustaining engineering and cost reduction projects, including test time reduction, yield improvement, multisite implementation, and test platform optimization.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to independently drive production issues to closure.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with global R&D and manufacturing teams.
