Job summary

A leading semiconductor solutions provider in Bengaluru is seeking a Staff Engineer for Bluetooth controller software. Responsibilities include designing new controller features, maintaining firmware, and optimizing peripheral drivers. Candidates should have a good understanding of Bluetooth specifications and experience in C/ASM programming. Qualifications

• Good understanding of Bluetooth controller specification.
• Experience in developing controller features.
• Understanding of microcontroller architecture (preferably ARM).
• Developed/ported boot code and peripheral drivers.
• Well-versed with the controller specific toolchain.
• Experience in developing large and complex firmware modules using C/ASM language.
• Understanding of ROM code and patch framework.
• Used configuration management systems and other software development methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test new features for Bluetooth controller.
• Maintain and support Bluetooth controller firmware for existing chips.
• Develop, port, and optimize peripheral drivers and boot-up code.
• Power optimization, timing improvements, and architectural enhancements.
• Create or enhance ROM build structure for newer chips.
• Develop scripts to automate unit testing and verify ROM code.

Job Description
In your new role you will:

• Design, implement and test Bluetooth controller new features.
• Maintain and support Bluetooth Controller FW for existing chips
• Develop /port / optimize peripheral drivers, boot-up code, Bluetooth functional modules etc,
• Power optimization, timing improvements and architectural improvement etc
• Create or enhance ROM build structure for newer chips,
• Develop scripts to automate unit testing, Verify ROM code in co-sim environment.

Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• Good understanding of Bluetooth controller specification
• Experienced in developing controller features.
• Understanding of micro controller architecture (preferably ARM),
• Developed/ported boot code and peripheral drivers,
• Well-versed with the controller specific toolchain.
• Experienced in developing large and complex FW modules using C/ASM language.
• Understanding ROM code and patch framework.
• Used configuration management system and other SW development methodologies.
