Job summary

ZF is seeking a Senior Technical Lead with 8-10 years of software development in the automotive domain and a strong background in functional safety. You will determine safety requirements, ensure traceability, and lead software safety analyses to deliver safe, compliant software for automotive systems.

Responsibilities include creating safety concepts, guiding ISO26262 methods, and supporting verification reviews across the V-cycle, while coordinating with customers and suppliers to uphold high

Qualifications

• Bachelors/Master's in electrical engineering/electronics/software engineering.
• Proven experience in software code development in the automotive domain, especially in a functional safety context.
• Experience with base software development according to AUTOSAR is an advantage.
• Knowledge of ISO26262:2018 is preferable; DevOps awareness is desirable.
• Familiarity with software safety analyses like Software FMEA and HAZOP is preferable.
• Exposure to automotive products like transmissions or electric drives is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills with customers and suppliers; assertive and reliable.
• ISO26262 Level-1 Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead software safety activities from requirements to verification and validation.
• Determine software safety requirements from system requirements or architecture.
• Ensure traceability of software safety requirements across artifacts.
• Perform software safety analysis (DFMEA/FTA) and issue road and gate approvals.
• Create and modify programming guidelines and ISO26262 methods.
• Support verification reviews during the Software Development V Cycle.
• Coordinate software safety plan and safety case development.

• Recording of Software Safety Requirements from new or complex problems to implementation level of requirements with verification and validation.
• Ensuring Traceability of Software Safety Requirements.Performing Impact Analysis at Software level.
• Performing Software Safety Analysis either of DFMEA or FTA Approach (Quantitative and Qualitative Analysis).
• Determination of Software Safety Concepts Technical Point of view.
• Creation and Modification of Programming Guidelines.Creation and Modification of Methods from ISO26262.
• Support Verification Review at Software Development V Cycle.Determination of Software Safety Plan and Safety Case.
• Initiate of Confirmation Review at Software Safety Analysis and Verification Test Plan.
• Knowledge on ASIL Decomposition Technics Providing Road and Gate approvals time to time.
