Job summary

Tata Technologies is seeking a Functional Safety Software Developer to design, verify, and maintain safety-critical software for automotive electronic systems in compliance with ISO 26262.

You will work on embedded C/C++, MCU platforms, RTOS, and perform unit tests, verification, and safety documentation, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and customers.

Qualifications

• Develop safety-related embedded software in C/C++.
• Ensure ISO 26262 Part 6 compliance.
• Experience with MISRA-C and AUTOSAR is preferred.
• Work with MCU-based platforms and RTOS environments.
• Develop unit and integration tests.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, design, code, and tests.
• Support ISO 26262 compliant verification and safety documentation.
• Participate in audits and safety reviews.
• Prepare ISO 26262 compliant work products.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Role Overview

The Functional Safety (FuSa) Software Developer is responsible for developing, verifying, and maintaining safety-critical software in compliance with ISO 26262 for automotive electronic systems. The role ensures that software components meet defined ASIL requirements and supports the full safety lifecycle from concept to production.
