Job description

Job Description: The Automotive Functional Safety Engineer is responsible for:

1. Work with ISO26262 work products such as Technical Safety Concept, Safety Plan, Safety Manual, Safety Case etc.
2. Work with internal product development teams to ensure coordinated functional safety compliance and coverage.
3. Work with internal team to evaluate requirements related to quality, functional safety, and automotive reliability.
4. Work closely with the Functional Safety Architects on projects and task planning, progress tracking and reporting.
5. Create the safety case report including the safety analysis results.
6. Create a test plan, test cases to cover all levels of IP & system safety validation.
7. Participate in functional safety reviews and provide reports.
8. Support Fault Injection Tests specifications and test result evaluation.

Key Qualifications

1. Must have degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or equivalent education with 8+ years of relevant Engineering experience.
2. Understanding of semiconductor development flows & experience with digital design at IP/SoC level preferable.
3. Experience / knowledge of safety related engineering processes and analysis methods (e.g. FTA, FMEDA, FMEA, DFA), especially on ISO26262.
4. Experience in working on ISO 26262 is an advantage as Functional Safety Engineer in safety critical applications with solid understanding of hardware and/or software development and functional lifecycle management.
5. Experience in qualifying products with embedded hardware and/or software to various ISO 26262 ASIL levels up to ASIL D.
6. Excellent communication skills, analytical mindset, debug skills, working as an individual contributor and sense of ownership.
7. Fluent in English written and spoken.
