Job summary

Pricol seeks a senior professional to lead the Functional Safety and Cyber Security organization for automotive product development in India. You will establish safety and cybersecurity processes aligned with ISO 26262 and ISO/SAE 21434, drive risk assessments, and supervise cross-functional teams across hardware, software, and systems engineering.

The role requires strong leadership, industry-standard methodologies, and coordination with customers and certification bodies to ensure compliance

Qualifications

• Minimum B.E./B.Tech. in electronics/electrical/computer science or mechatronics.
• Strong leadership in safety/cybersecurity domains.
• Experience with ISO 26262 lifecycle and ISO/SAE 21434 is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead Functional Safety & Cyber Security organization for automotive product development.
• Establish and drive Functional Safety processes per ISO 26262 across lifecycle.
• Lead Cyber Security engineering activities per ISO/SAE 21434 and customer requirements.
• Define and review safety and cybersecurity strategies, plans, and work products.
• Lead FSA/HARA/Risk assessment and safety/security goals identification.
• Drive FSC, TSC and Cyber Security Concepts across programs.
• Ensure safety/security requirements allocation to Hardware, Software, System Engineering teams.
• Lead safety/security analyses (FMEA, FTA, FMEDA etc.).
• Review system architectures from safety/security perspectives.
• Drive safety/security verification, validation, testing and assessment.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, assessors, and certification bodies.
• Identify and manage safety risks and cybersecurity threats and mitigations.
• Establish cybersecurity processes for vulnerability monitoring and incident management.
• Mentor Functional Safety and Cyber Security teams and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, cybersecurity and customer requirements across programs.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Functional Safety & Cyber Security organization for automotive product development.
• Establish and drive Functional Safety processes in compliance with ISO 26262 across the product development lifecycle.
• Lead Cyber Security engineering activities in compliance with ISO/SAE 21434 and applicable customer requirements.
• Define and review safety and cybersecurity strategies, plans, processes and work products.
• Lead HARA, TARA, risk assessment and identification of safety/security goals and requirements.
• Drive development and review of FSC, TSC and Cyber Security Concepts across product programs.
• Ensure safety and cybersecurity requirements are effectively allocated to Hardware, Software and System Engineering teams.
• Lead safety/security analysis including FMEA, FTA, FMEDA and other applicable methods.
• Review system architecture and product designs from Functional Safety and Cyber Security perspectives
• Drive safety/security verification, validation, testing and assessment activities throughout the product lifecycle
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, assessors and certification bodies for safety and cybersecurity reviews and audits.
• Identify and manage safety risks, cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities and associated mitigation actions
• Establish cybersecurity processes for vulnerability monitoring, incident management and product security lifecycle.
• Mentor and develop Functional Safety and Cyber Security teams and build organizational competency
• Drive continuous improvement, process standardization and adoption of industry best practices.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, cybersecurity and customer-specific requirements across all product programs.

Experience

Technical Details

• Strong leadership experience in Automotive Functional Safety and Cyber Security
• Expertise in ISO 26262 Functional Safety lifecycle and safety management
• Strong knowledge of Automotive Cyber Security and ISO/SAE 21434
• Experience in TARA (Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment), HARA and safety/security concept development
• Knowledge of Safety Goals, Functional Safety Concept (FSC), Technical Safety Concept (TSC) and Cyber Security Concept
• Experience with FMEA/FMEDA, FTA, DFA and risk analysis methodologies
• Strong understanding of automotive E/E architecture, ECU, embedded systems, communication networks and vehicle systems
• Knowledge of CAN, LIN, Ethernet and other automotive communication protocols
• Experience in cybersecurity requirements, secure communication, access control, threat mitigation and vulnerability management
• Knowledge of ASPICE, cybersecurity lifecycle, security testing and penetration testing concepts
• Experience in customer audits, assessments, compliance and certification activities
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, technical decision-making and team management skills
