Blue Horizons Strategic Engineering Pvt. Ltd. (BHSEL) in Hyderabad is seeking an experienced Manager/Sr. Manager SCM to lead end-to-end supply chain and procurement, ensuring timely material availability, quality, delivery, and cost objectives across electronic and mechanical components.

The role demands strong vendor development, negotiation, ERP/MRP proficiency, and cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, PPC, QA, Stores and Finance to optimize inventory and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement or Operations.
• MBA or PG Diploma in Supply Chain or Operations is an added advantage.
• 8–12 years for Manager level; 12–18 years for Sr. Manager level of relevant experience.
• Experience in Defence, Aerospace, Electronics, Mechanical manufacturing, OEM or system integration preferred.
• Strong experience in vendor development, procurement, negotiation, subcontracting and BOM-based purchasing.
• Good knowledge of ERP/MRP, MS Excel and MIS reporting.
• Strong communication, negotiation, analytical and team-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of electronic and mechanical components, assemblies, bought-out items and subcontracted items based on BOM and project requirements.
• Develop and manage vendors for electronic modules, connectors, cables, sensors, machined components and mechanical assemblies.
• Identify and develop new suppliers and alternate sources for critical/long-lead components.
• Handle RFQs, quotation evaluation, commercial negotiation, purchase orders and supplier follow-up.
• Coordinate with Engineering, PPC, QA, Stores and Finance for material planning and timely availability.
• Manage subcontracting activities such as machining, fabrication, electronics assembly, cable harness and special processes.
• Monitor supplier performance for Quality, Cost and Delivery and take corrective actions.
• Ensure suppliers provide required quality certificates, inspection and traceability documents.
• Monitor critical/long-lead items and address shortages and supply risks proactively.
• Support inventory optimization and control of excess, slow-moving and obsolete materials.
• Prepare SCM MIS and provide regular updates to Management on procurement status and vendor performance.

We are looking for an experienced Manager / Sr. Manager SCM to lead and strengthen our supply-chain function.

Job Purpose

The position will be responsible for managing end-to-end Supply Chain and Procurement activities for Electronic and Mechanical components, ensuring timely availability of materials in line with project requirements, quality standards, delivery schedules and cost objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of Electronic and Mechanical components, assemblies, bought-out items and subcontracted items based on BOM, drawings and project requirements.


• Develop and manage vendors for electronic modules, connectors, cables, sensors, electrical items, machined components, fabrication, sheet-metal parts and mechanical assemblies.


• Identify, evaluate and develop new suppliers and alternate sources for critical and long-lead components.


• Handle RFQs, quotation evaluation, commercial negotiation, purchase orders and supplier follow-up.


• Coordinate closely with Engineering, PPC, QA, Stores and Finance for material planning and timely availability.


• Manage subcontracting activities such as machining, fabrication, electronics assembly, cable harness and special processes, wherever applicable.


• Monitor supplier performance for Quality, Cost and Delivery (QCD) and take corrective actions wherever required.


• Ensure suppliers provide required quality certificates, inspection reports, test reports and traceability documents.


• Monitor critical/long-lead items and proactively address material shortages and supply risks.


• Support inventory optimization and control excess, slow-moving and obsolete materials.
