Job summary

Harris Computer’s Bizmatics unit in Mumbai is hiring a Senior Software Developer to join its R&D team. You will build high‑quality healthcare software using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs, and contribute to microservice design.

The role emphasizes performance tuning, security with Spring Security, and modern front‑end work with JavaScript/jQuery. Familiarity with React.js is a plus, within an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5–6 years of experience in Java and Spring Framework (Spring Boot preferred).
• Good understanding of SQL and database design (MySQL/Oracle/PostgreSQL).
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript and jQuery.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services.
• Understanding of MVC architecture and design patterns.
• Experience with version control systems (Git).
• Hands-on experience of using AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini and Anti-Gravity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-performance applications using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
• Contribute to the design of microservices and integration with internal/external systems.
• Apply best practices for JVM performance tuning and memory management.
• Implement authentication and authorization flows using Spring Security.
• Write and maintain JavaScript/jQuery code; familiarity with React.js is a plus.
• Participate in code reviews, peer programming, and contribute to improving development standards.
• Work with DevOps pipelines (Jenkins, SonarQube) and understand basic deployment automation (Ansible).
• Familiar with caching frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, SonarQube, Ansible.
• Solid understanding of Git, branching, and version control best practices.
• Exposure to SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Good to Have Familiarity with DevSecOps and secure coding practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
