Job summary

ShopOS in Bengaluru is seeking a Sr. QA Engineer to own quality across our AI-first commerce stack. You’ll design test plans, write automation, and drive end-to-end testing for frontend, backend, mobile, and AI components.

Collaborate with product and engineering to define acceptance criteria, identify critical issues early, and champion high-quality releases. 3–5 years of hands-on QA experience required. Experience with Selenium, Cypress or Playwright and API testing is preferred; we value

Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in QA roles in product-driven engineering teams.
Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Experience with manual and automated testing (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman, etc.)
Proficiency in writing test cases and bug reports with clarity and detail
Hands-on experience with testing APIs (REST, GraphQL) and web/mobile interfaces
Familiarity with CI/CD workflows, Git, and test coverage tracking
A sharp eye for edge cases, usability, and platform consistency
High sense of ownership and commitment to delivering high‑quality releases

Responsibilities

Design, write, and execute test plans and test cases across frontend, backend, mobile, and AI‑driven components
Implement and maintain test automation frameworks(for APIs, UI, and performance testing)
Own end‑to‑end quality assurance across multiple product modules and services
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to establish clear acceptance criteria and drive bug‑free releases
Proactively identify, track, and prioritize bugs and regressions using tools like Jira, Linear, or Notion
Conduct functional, regression, performance, and exploratory testing
Maintain and enhance CI‑integrated testing suites to ensure scalable, fast feedback loops
Test edge cases and failure states to ensure graceful degradation and system resilience
Bring a strong voice to user experience, product usability, and business‑critical flows

As aSr. QA Engineerat ShopOS, you’ll be the gatekeeper of product quality across our AI‑first commerce stack. From zero‑to‑one product flows to high‑scale production environments, you’ll ensure that every release meets our high standards of reliability, performance, and usability.

You’ll collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams to define testing strategies, build automation pipelines, and identify critical issues before they reach users. This role is perfect for someone with a sharp eye, strong user empathy, and a deep appreciation for clean, well‑tested software.

What You’ll Own

What We’re Looking For
