Job summary

TVS Motor Company in Bengaluru, India, seeks a Sr. Principal Engineer-Embedded to lead VIP, E&E software, and embedded platform architecture for automotive compute platforms. You will drive integration and architecture across centralized ECUs for next‑gen vehicles.

The role demands 12–15 years in embedded systems, deep AUTOSAR, MISRA C++, CAN/LIN networks, and functional safety. You will mentor teams, define patterns, support HIL validation, and enable secure OTA updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in engineering with strong embedded systems background.
• 12–15 years of experience in automotive embedded software and leadership.
• Expertise in AUTOSAR, safety-certified RTOS, and vehicle network protocols.

Responsibilities

• Champion co-design methodologies for next-gen microcontrollers/SoCs.
• Lead transition from distributed ECUs to centralized, zonal architectures.
• Configure RTE, MCAL, CAN/LIN stacks and BSW modules.
• Govern embedded development using AUTOSAR and safety-certified RTOS.
• Design SOA endpoints, IPC bindings and lifecycle management.
• Lead network management, sleep/wake-up, error handling, bus recovery.
• Perform HIL, CANoe/CANalyzer validation and integration testing.
• Manage OTA updates, safe-state transitions and diagnostics.

Job Purpose

TVSM is looking for an expert technical leadership professional responsible for Vehicle Interface Processor (VIP), E&E software stack, Embedded Base Software Platform architecture, development and integration on automotive compute platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Champion co-design methodologies and next-generation microcontrollers/SoCs.
• Lead transition from distributed ECUs to centralized, zonal and service-oriented architectures.
• Expertise with Infineon, NXP S32G, Renesas RH850, STMicro, TI platforms.
• Configure RTE, SWC interfaces, CDD, MCAL, CAN communication stack and BSW modules.
• Lead network management, sleep/wake-up, error handling and bus recovery strategies.
• Govern embedded development using AUTOSAR and safety-certified RTOS platforms.
• Design SOA endpoints, IPC bindings and POSIX-compliant lifecycle management.
• Configure scheduling, concurrency, SMP/AMP task allocation and multicore resource locking.
• Expertise in CAN, LIN, bus-load optimization and network description management.
• Implement functional safety, diagnostics, cybersecurity, secure boot and SecOC.
• Perform HIL, CANoe/CANalyzer, CAPL based validation and integration testing.
• Manage OTA updates, safe-state transitions and system-level debugging.
