Aptiv Bengaluru is hiring an Electrical/Electronic Engineer to design and develop automotive products in Active Safety and User-Experience. The role is based at TCI Bengaluru, focusing on AUTOSAR-based architectures, CAN/LIN/Ethernet communication, and secure boot/OTA strategies.

You will lead the full SDLC, drive reusable architectural patterns, and engage with customers as the main software-architecture interface, working with Vector DaVinci tools and AUTOSAR validation workflows.

Qualifications

• Experience leading automotive embedded software architectures and SDLC
• AutOSAR Classic architecture configuration and integration across CAN/LIN/Ethernet
• Proven bootloader design and OTA/update experience
• Strong knowledge of automotive cybersecurity and cryptography concepts

Responsabilités

• Lead design and governance of automotive embedded software architectures (AUTOSAR-based) ensuring safety and regulatory compliance
• Define scalable, modular architectural patterns and interfaces across automotive platforms using AUTOSAR Classic concepts
• Drive SDLC from requirements to deployment with technical oversight for quality, cost, and schedules
• Apply deep expertise in embedded systems, MCU architectures, AUTOSAR BSW/RTE, and automotive protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
• Establish and oversee testing, debugging, and validation using Vector CANalyzer/CANoe, Renesas hardware, and AUTOSAR workflows
• Act as primary customer interface for software architecture and manage architecture toolchains

Were hiring an Electrical/Electronic Engineer to design and develop our automotive products in the areas of Active Safety and User-Experience. This position is located at TCI Bengaluru.

Your Role

• Required Exp: 8-12 Yrs
• Lead the design and governance of automotive embedded software architectures, including AUTOSARbased solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Define scalable, modular, and reusable architectural patterns, components, and interfaces across automotive platforms using AUTOSAR Classic concepts.
• Drive the full SDLC from requirements through deployment, providing technical oversight to meet quality, schedule, cost, and compliance objectives.
• Apply deep expertise in embedded systems, MCU architectures, AUTOSAR BSW/RTE, and automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
• Establish and oversee testing, debugging, and system validation using tools such as Vector CANalyzer/CANoe, Renesas hardware, and AUTOSAR validation workflows.
• Act as the primary customer interface for software architecture, managing architecture toolchains, evaluating new technologies, and delivering innovative, valuedriven AUTOSAR solutions.

Preferred candidate profile

Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your:

• Graduate in BE/ B.Tech/ ME/ M.Tech (Electronics/ Electricals /Instrumentation /Computer Science) with work experience of 10+ years
• Hands-on experience with AUTOSAR Classic Architecture, including end-to-end configuration and integration of Communication Stack (CAN, LIN, Ethernet), Memory Stack (NVM, FEE), Diagnostic Stack (DEM, DCM, UDS) and AUTOSAR OS modules (OS, ECUM, BSWM, PowerMod)
• Bootloader experience
  • Proven experience with Software Download (SWDL) and Over-the-Air (OTA) update mechanisms, including Bootloader interaction and flashing strategies
  • Should have at least 5 years of experience working on bootloader design and development.
  • Have deep understanding on memory partitioning and access
• Cybersecurity
  • In-depth understanding of the cryptography concepts and utilization
  • Should have at least 7 years of experience in Cybersecurity
  • Hands-on experience with implementation of security features like Secure boot, secure update, Secure communication (SecOC, MACSec)
  • Must have exposure to TARA and concept development
• Hands-on experience with Vector DaVinci tools, particularly DaVinci Configurator and related AUTOSAR configuration workflows
• Strong knowledge of 32-bit Microcontroller architectures, with hands-on development experience on: Infineon Aurix, Renesas, PowerPC or ARM-based automotive MCUs
• Solid understanding of Automotive Product Development lifecycle, including compliance and alignment with Automotive SPICE (ASPICE)
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum-based software development environments, including sprint planning, reviews, and continuous integration practices
• Working experience in one or more Automotive domains: ADAS, Infotainment or Vehicle Gateway systems
