Job summary

TVS Motor Company in India seeks a Lead Software Engineer (Software) to drive architecture, design, and delivery of Bluetooth and connected infotainment software for TVS platforms. Qualifications

• Experience in connectivity domain for Automotive Infotainment.
• 10 to 12 years software development with C++14/17 and C, Java, Kotlin.
• Minimum 4 years leading or mentoring a software engineering team.
• Experience with Linux Platform development, Android platform development, and mobile app integration.
• Knowledge of Bluetooth architecture, protocols, debugging using HCI/OTA logs; WiFi/NFC a plus.
• Experience with RTOS such as FreeRTOS or Zephyr.
• Familiar with Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices.
• Experience collaborating with global technology partners and cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of cybersecurity and secure communications in connected products.
• Experience certifying and listing in BT SIG.

Responsibilities

• Lead a software development team in Bluetooth application for connected infotainment on Linux and Android.
• Lead a software development team in the design, development, integration, and maintenance of Smartwatch applications on Android/iOS.
• Define and drive the technical roadmap for current and future connected infotainment systems.
• Architecture design using Modern C++ (C++14/17) and C for embedded applications.
• Own the design and implementation of Bluetooth features including device management, pairing/bonding, profile integration, and connectivity management.
• Coordinate with system architects and product teams to translate requirements into scalable software architectures.
• Drive software quality through code reviews, design reviews, static analysis, unit testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with validation and partner teams for seamless software integration across vehicle, mobile, and cloud ecosystems.
• Analyze complex field issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Contribute to tech evaluations, proofs-of-concept, and decisions related to infotainment and Bluetooth evolution.
• Participate in release planning, risk assessment, and project execution to ensure on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with Android, iOS, and cloud teams for end-to-end connected experiences.

Job Purpose

The Lead Software Engineer will be responsible for drivingthe architecture, design, development, and delivery of Bluetooth and connectedinfotainment software solutions for current and next-generation TVS Motorconnected vehicle platforms. The role requires strong technical expertise inBluetooth technologies, embedded software development, and modern C++programming, combined with proven leadership capabilities to guide a team ofengineers in delivering high-quality, scalable, and secure software products.

The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teamsincluding system architects, product management, mobile application teams,validation teams, and external technology partners to define and execute theroadmap for connected infotainment units across TVS Motor product lines. Therole also involves mentoring engineers, driving technical excellence, andensuring successful execution of software programs aligned with businessobjectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Leada software development team in the design, development, integration, andmaintenance of Bluetooth application for connected infotainment systems basedon Linux and Android platforms.
• Leada software development team in the design, development, integration, andmaintenance of Smartwatch application based on android and iOS platforms.
• Defineand drive the technical roadmap for current and future connected infotainmentsystems, ensuring alignment with product strategy, customer requirements, andemerging industry trends.
• Architecturedesign and develop of robust software components using Modern C++ (C++14/C++17and above) and C for embedded system applications.
• Ownthe design and implementation of Bluetooth features including devicemanagement, pairing/bonding, profile integration, connectivity management,protocol handling, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Workclosely with system architects and product teams to translate businessrequirements into scalable software architectures and technical solutions.
• Drivesoftware quality through code reviews, design reviews, static analysis, unittesting, integration testing, and adherence to software engineering bestpractices.
• Mentorand technically guide team members, fostering a culture of innovation,collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Education

• Bachelor'sor Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering,Embedded Systems, or related discipline.

Experience

• Priorexperience in connectivity domain including Automotive Infotainment, ConnectedVehicle, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay.
• 10to 12 years of software development experience with strong expertise inC++14/C++17 and solid programming experience in C, Java, Kotlin, KMP. Knowingscripting is a plus.
• Minimum4 years of experience leading or mentoring a software engineering team.
• Priorexperience in Linux Platform development, Android platform development, andmobile application integration. Good understanding of android and iOSapplication development. Understanding of Linux, Andoid and iOS OS concepts.
• Experiencewith communication protocols, wireless technologies, and connected deviceecosystems. Strong understanding of Bluetooth architecture, protocols,profiles, debugging using HCI and OTA logs. Wifi, NFC experience is a plus.
• Experienceworking with embedded systems and software development on baremetal and RTOSenvironments like FreeRTOS, Zephyr RTOS.
• Provenexperience in software architecture, design patterns, debugging, performanceoptimization, and system-level problem solving.
• Familiaritywith Agile development methodologies and CI/CD practices.
