Job summary

Agratas – A Tata Enterprise in India is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to oversee Process Equipment and offline equipment maintenance. The role involves hands-on troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical breakdowns, PLC programming across OMROM, Siemens, and Rockwell, and working with vision systems and robotics within conveyors and automated lines.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation/Mechatronics is mandatory.
• 2–3 years in Lithium-ion cell manufacturing, bottling plants, or warehouse automation is mandatory/desired.
• Hands-on PLC programming experience with OMROM, Siemens, and Rockwell and related hardware.
• Experience with vision systems and image processing is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain process equipment and offline equipment.
• Troubleshoot Electrical & Mechanical issues during breakdowns.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance, analyze data for corrective actions.
• Identify bottlenecks and opportunities for quick changeovers and continuous improvement.
• Assist in in-house repair of electrical and mechanical spares.

Purpose of the Role

Responsible for Process Equipment & offline equipment Maintenance

Key Responsibility Areas

Technical /Functional

• Electrical & Mechanical Problem-solving during breakdowns.
• Hands on experience with PLC (OMRON, Siemens, Rockwell) programming and associated hardware, connected equipment and other control systems.
• Hands on experience in Vision Systems & Image processing.
• Experience in in Conveyors, Stacker cranes ,AGV,Vision system, precision Dozing, Robotics (Articulated), Fluid Pumping, injectors. .
• Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PDM), analysis and Corrective actions.
• Fixing Abnormalities by data driven approach.

Knowledge Generic

Mandatory Desired: Diploma in (Electrical /Electronics / Instrumentation/Mechatronics)

Mandatory Desired: 2 years to 3 years in Lithium-ion cell manufacturing industry, Bottling plants, warehouse automations .

Suitable / Optional: similar industry Automation process) handled with 2-3 years of experience in Conveyors, Stacker cranes ,AGV,Vision system, precision Dozing, Robotics (Articulated), Fluid Pumping, injectors.

• Spares Management: Critical Spare inventory verification, Quick retrieval of spares.
• Identification of Bottleneck or Constraint machines.
• Identify Backup, Bypass, Quick changeover (BBQ) opportunities.
• Preparation of programing devices with backups for quick Availability during breakdown.
• Achieving MTTR, MTBF, Availability Targets and Maintenance CPU.
• Suggest & Implement Continuous Improvement ideas.
• Assist for In-House Repair of Electrical and Mechanical spares.
