Job summary

Parle is seeking a maintenance professional to oversee day-to-day machine upkeep and preventive maintenance within the factory in Haryana/Jhajjar. The role includes coordinating repairs with the Engineering Head, providing temporary fixes during major breakdowns, and ensuring 100% machine availability.

You will also manage material issuance in SAP, support production with operator training, and drive Kaizen activities during non-breakdown shifts while maintaining PQS and FSMS compliance.

Responsibilities

• Day to day maintenance of machines.
• Conduct preventive maintenance as per plan.
• Coordinate with Engineering Head for repairs and replacements.
• Escalate major breakdowns to Engineering Head; provide temporary solutions during head absence.
• Ensure 100% availability and efficiency of machines.
• Tackle all breakdowns in a shift with minimum downtime and hand over to production.
• Fetch materials from store for maintenance needs within the factory.
• Utilize maintenance dept. effectively during shifts; assign routine tasks to workforce.
• Prepare maintenance list on maintenance day based on severity.
• Post engineering materials in SAP for materials issued for maintenance.
• If no breakdown, perform additional responsibilities or kaizens.
• Coordinate with Production shift staff for shift Production and training of operators.
• Ensure all utilities run to standard parameters and maintain a safe working environment; comply with PQS and FSMS requirements and document accordingly.
• Knowledge of A.C Drives, PLC, Switchgear, and troubleshooting of packing machines.
• Proper knowledge of the Utility section.

Job description

Role & responsibilities :

• Day to day maintenance of machines.
• Conduct preventive maintenance as per plan.
• Coordinate with Engineering Head for repairs and replacements.
• For major breakdowns, will escalated it to the Engineering Head, who can use additional experience to tackle the issue.
• However, the role-holder may provide temporary solution for larger breakdowns in the absence of Maintenance Head.
• Ensure the 100% availability of machines and its efficiency.
• All kind of breakdowns have to be tackled in a shift with minimum time and handover back to production.
• Have to get the material issued from store for any requirement during machine breakdown or as required anywhere within factory premises.
• Ensure proper utilization of maintenance deptt. during the shift.(assign some routine maintenance work to workforce).
• Preparation of list of maintenance to be carried out on maintenance day based on its severity.
• Ensure posting of engineering materials in SAP for the material issued for machine maintenance or else.
• In case of no breakdown in a shift have to do work of assigned additional responsibilities or have to implement kaizens.
• Coordination with Production shift staff for shift Production / imparting training to operators.
• Ensure all utilities are running on set standard parameters to get desired working environment need.
• Ensure all Food Safety and Human Safety consideration while attending any maintenance work during the shift. Ensure all PQS and FSMS requirement are full filled during the shift and its documentation part as assigned.
• Knowledge about A.C Drive, PLC, Switchgear, etc.
• Knowledge of Trouble shooting of Packing machine.
• Proper knowledge of Utility" section.

Preferred candidate profile

Candidate from FMCG group and flexible in working round the clock(all the shifts) will be preferred.
