Job summary

Lehry Industries Pvt Ltd in Chennai is seeking a skilled mechanical engineer for new product development in pipes and hydraulic fittings. You will design fittings and perform 3D modeling and GD&T drawings.

You will run prototypes to production, coordinate with manufacturing and vendors, and plan validation tests. Strong knowledge of thread standards, materials, and CAD tools is required.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech Mechanical required; diploma may be acceptable.
• 5–6 years of NPD experience in pipes, fittings or hydraulic connectors.
• SolidWorks or Creo, AutoCAD; strong knowledge of thread standards and materials.

Responsibilities

• Design fittings and couplings (various standards) and prepare 3D models and GD&T drawings.
• Run prototypes, trials and pilot lots through to production.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and vendors on manufacturability and tooling.
• Plan validation tests (pressure, burst, leak) and maintain NPD docs.
• Handle customer technical queries and sample approvals.

• Run prototypes, trials and pilot lots through to production.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and vendors on manufacturability, costing and tooling.
• Plan validation tests (pressure, burst, leak) and maintain NPD documentation.
• Handle customer technical queries and sample approvals.

Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech Mechanical [confirm if Diploma is acceptable].
• 5–6 years of NPD experience in pipes, fittings or hydraulic connectors.
• SolidWorks or Creo, AutoCAD, and good knowledge of thread standards and materials.

Good to have: tube bending, brazing or hose assembly exposure.
