Job summary

Lehry Valves in Chennai is seeking a seasoned mechanical design engineer to design fittings and couplings (JIC, BSP, NPT, ORFS, SAE flange, metric), prepare 3D models and GD&T drawings, and drive prototypes through to production.

You will coordinate with manufacturing and vendors on manufacturability, costing and tooling, plan validation tests (pressure, burst, leak), maintain NPD documentation, and handle customer technical queries and sample approvals.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech Mechanical engineering degree required.
• 5–6 years of NPD experience in pipes, fittings or hydraulic connectors.
• SolidWorks or Creo, AutoCAD proficiency; good knowledge of thread standards and materials.
