Job summary

Centric Brands in Delhi seeks an experienced Merchandiser to drive end-to-end product development, costing, and timely shipments. You will coordinate with buyers, suppliers and merchandising teams, negotiate prices, manage timelines, and ensure quality across garments, trims and fabrics. Strong communication and multi-tasking skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years working experience in merchandising.
• Sound knowledge of garment manufacturing, including construction, fabrication, trim and print techniques, knits and Denim products.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, highly detail oriented.
• Professional qualification in related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe products, Excel etc.

Responsibilities

• Handle end to end product development till shipment, ensure right quality, right vendor, right price and on time delivery.
• Support in Product development, costing, & price negotiation.
• Support sampling approval process and ensure on timely submission along with good execution (all Lab dips, bulk fabric color and quality submission).
• Follow up T&A (WIP) on a regular basis, ensure reporting on-time delivery regularly.
• Collaborate with buyers, suppliers & merchandising teams to negotiate prices, quantities, and timescales.
• Maximize customer interest at margin levels.
• Build constructive customer/supplier relationships and teams with channel partners.
• Ensure vendor/factory makes timely schedules for inspections.
• Ensure factory makes vsl/space booking with forwarder/shipping line and handover cargo/goods on time.
• Ensure suppliers provide the required shipping documents in timely manner after shipments.
• Time to time reporting to business leader as per requirements.
• Take care of any Ad-hoc projects (Vendor compliance/documentations).
• Communicate with buyers/Merchant teams on a regular basis to provide up-to-date info regarding the status of production and shipment of garments.
• Follow the guidelines on the assigned product categories and being the key communicator for the assigned product areas in the business stream.
• Coordinate all operational activities from proto sample development, costing and production tracking, fabric and trim development etc. and WIP updates.
• Coordinate the Price Negotiation with suppliers as designated by the Sr. Merchandiser /Assistant Merchandising Manager/Merchandising Manager.
• Responsible for tracking critical path, forecasting delays and course corrective action if needed with proactive action plans to ensure On Time Delivery.
• Identify and diagnose production problems and work with suppliers to present alternatives to buyers and line seniors.
• Responsible for production in the assigned factories and maintain liaison with QA Depts/Factory Mgt Team for quality, inspections, delivery deadlines etc.
• General administrative work as or when required.
