Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Merchandiser to join our merchandising team. The ideal candidate will assist in planning, coordinating, and managing the product lifecycle from development to delivery, while supporting senior merchandisers in achieving sales and profitability targets. This role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and a keen interest in fashion trends, consumer behaviour, and retail dynamics.

Key Responsibility

• Assist in product development and sourcing activities.
• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely sampling and production.
• Monitor and track purchase orders, production timelines, and shipment schedules.
• Analyse sales data and market trends to support range planning and inventory decisions.
• Help prepare product presentations, line sheets, and sales reports.
• Ensure accurate and timely product information and documentation.
• Support visual merchandising and promotional activities as needed.
• Participate in regular meetings with design, buying, and planning teams.
• Maintain product databases and filing systems for easy tracking and reference.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Textile, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in merchandising, buying, or a related area (internship experience considered).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with ERP or PLM systems is a plus.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Passion for fashion, retail, and market trends.

Preferred Skills:

• Basic knowledge of fabric, trims, and garment construction.
• Understanding of the production and supply chain process.
• Familiarity with retail math and merchandising principles.
