Job summary

Visteon Corporation in Maharashtra, India, seeks a senior engineering leader to manage and drive mechanical design programs for automotive products, ensuring on-cost, on-time, and on-quality delivery, and to mentor the team toward the career path.

You will collaborate with stakeholders across the program lifecycle, apply design verification methods, GD&T, DFMEA, and CATIA V5, and lead continuous improvement to meet KPI milestones and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of engineering experience in automotive or electro-mechanical domains.
• Experience in Plastic, Sheet metal, Diecast, Sealing components design.
• Experience with design quality verification and validation methods.
• CATIA V5 with 3D CAD and 2D drawings expertise.
• Strong GD&T application and tolerance studies.
• Exposure to CAE and testing domains.
• Problem solving and continuous improvement mindset.
• Experience with global culture / customer is a plus.

Mission of the Role:

Manage and drive the programs to deliver mechanical designs for Visteon products, on-cost, on-time, on-quality.

• Responsible for the design delivery, meeting Quality, Cost and Schedule target
• Mentor team members to grow them in the career path
• Collaborate with the stakeholders throughout the execution of the programs

Key Year One Deliverables:

• Team development roadmap based on competencies assessment
• Meet KPI as defined in the above section
• Improve the customer satisfaction by improving the communication and meeting/exceeding the expectation

Qualification, Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor's /Master’s degree in the Mechanical engineering field.
• 5~10 years of relevant engineering experience preferably in regional or global environment.
• Experience in Automotive or Electro-mechanical products domain – Electronics product design, Thermal Management, EMC interface design
• Experience in Plastic, Sheet metal, Diecast, Sealing components design
• Strong experience in ensuring the design quality, verification, Validation methods.
• Design tools – CATIA V5 (Preferred). Expertise in 3D CAD, 2D drawings preparation
• Strong experience in GD&T application, Tolerance studies, DFMEA
• Exposure to CAE and testing domains.
• Experience in Problem solving, Critical thinking, Continuous Improvement
• Exposure to Global Culture/Customer is an added advantage.
