Job summary

Visteon Corporation in Bengaluru seeks a senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design delivery for automotive electro-mechanical products. You will mentor engineers, ensure on-time, on-cost, on-quality performance, and collaborate with global stakeholders.

The role requires 5–10 years of mechanical design experience, CATIA V5 proficiency, GD&T and DFMEA expertise, and strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–10 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably in regional/global environment.
• Experience in Automotive or electro-mechanical products domain—electronics product design, thermal management, EMC interface design.
• Experience in Plastic, Sheet metal, Die-cast, Sealing components design.
• Strong experience in design quality verification and validation methods.
• CATIA V5 (preferred); proficiency in 3D CAD and 2D drawings.
• Strong GD&T application, tolerance studies, DFMEA.
• Exposure to CAE and testing domains.
• Experience in problem solving, critical thinking, and continuous improvement.
• Exposure to global culture/customer is an added advantage.

Manage and drive the programs to deliver mechanical designs for Visteon products, on-cost, on-time, on-quality.

Qualification, Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor's /Master’s degree in the Mechanical engineering field.
• 5~10 years of relevant engineering experience preferably in regional or global environment.
• Experience in Automotive or Electro-mechanical products domain – Electronics product design, Thermal Management, EMC interface design
• Experience in Plastic, Sheet metal, Diecast, Sealing components design
• Strong experience in ensuring the design quality, verification, Validation methods.
• Design tools – CATIA V5 (Preferred). Expertise in 3D CAD, 2D drawings preparation
• Strong experience in GD&T application, Tolerance studies, DFMEA
• Exposure to CAE and testing domains.
• Experience in Problem solving, Critical thinking, Continuous Improvement
• Exposure to Global Culture/Customer is an added advantage.
