Job summary

Visteon Corporation in Chennai is seeking a seasoned Mechanical Design Engineer to drive design delivery for automotive products, ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and on-time execution. The role requires strong CATIA V5 skills, 3D CAD and 2D drawings proficiency, and DFMEA/ GD&T expertise.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with global stakeholders, and continuously improve design processes while contributing to electronics, thermal management and EMC interface domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's /Master’s degree in the Mechanical engineering field.
• 5–10 years of relevant engineering experience preferably in regional or global environment.
• Experience in Automotive or Electro-mechanical products domain – Electronics product design, Thermal Management, EMC interface design
• Experience in Plastic, Sheet metal, Diecast, Sealing components design
• Strong experience in ensuring the design quality, verification, Validation methods.
• Design tools – CATIA V5 (Preferred). Expertise in 3D CAD, 2D drawings preparation
• Strong experience in GD&T application, Tolerance studies, DFMEA
• Exposure to CAE and testing domains.
• Experience in Problem solving, Critical thinking, Continuous Improvement
• Exposure to Global Culture/Customer is an added advantage.
