Qualifications

  • BE /B.Tech/ M.E. / M.Tech
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing processes for electrical components, switches and machined components
  • Knowledge of various material grades and their suitability for gear and shaft manufacturing
  • Familiarity with surface treatment processes like painting, plating, and powder coating
  • Experience with APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and its application in part development
  • Proficiency in using quality tools and processes to ensure information flow on quality concerns
  • Ability to develop and procure components from vendors within time, cost, and quality objectives
  • Experience in vendor analysis, rationalization, capacity assessment, and time frame agreement
  • Ability to review design and manufacturing feasibility assessments with R&D
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills for collaboration with design teams, suppliers, and stakeholders
  • Ability to track project timelines, identify critical path activities, and develop risk mitigation plans
  • Understanding of cost reduction techniques and their implementation
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and contribute to project goals
  • Experience in creating and maintaining databases and systems for project MIS

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire part development process from initial design to final production.
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the development and production lifecycle.
  • Work to achieve Quality, Cost and Delivery (QCD) targets for new products and improvements.
  • Develop and sustain strong supplier relationships, ensuring capacity and adherence to timelines.
  • Identify risks early and implement mitigation plans to safeguard schedules and budgets.
  • Provide regular progress updates and reporting on project status and performance.
