Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited in Chennai is seeking a procurement and program delivery professional to drive component development, vendor planning, and cost management.

The role focuses on PPAP, APQP, GD&T, SAP MM, and MS Office, with strong emphasis on delivering on time, within cost, and to quality standards.

You will coordinate with design teams, analyze variances, negotiate tooling investments, and ensure compliance with tax and Incoterms.

Qualifications

• PPAP, APQP, SPC and problem-solving techniques.
• GD&T knowledge.
• Hands-on SAP MM experience.
• MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Commercial knowledge on taxation and Incoterms.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for delivery of all DE with respect to the allotted platforms.
• Ensure DE Officers deliver on TCP requirements of platforms.
• Draw up a plan to develop/procure components with vendors within time, cost and quality objectives.
• Vendor analysis & rationalization for capacity assessment, time frame agreement.
• Ensure material and tooling costs stay within budgeted values.
• Support pricing cell in cost estimation and component costing of new parts.
• Coordinate with Design team for first-time-right and end delivery of product.
• Perform variance analysis at each development stage for quality, cost, and delivery with corrective actions.
• Develop and implement cost-reduction approaches.
• Assess / negotiate tooling investments and vendor aid requirements.
• Support vendor selection per policy for the part.

Job description

• Accountable for Delivery of all DE with respect to the allotted platforms.
• Ensure that the respective DE Officers are delivering on the TCP (Time, Cost, Performance) requirements of Platforms.
• Draw up a plan to develop/procure components withvendors within time, cost and quality objectives
• Vendor analysis & rationalization for capacity assessment, time frame agreement
• To ensure the material and tooling cost are settled within the budgeted values
• To support pricing cell in cost estimation activities component wise & details costing of the components/new part
• Effective co-ordination with the Design team to ensure first time right & end delivery of product
• Variance analysis at each stage of development in terms of Quality, Cost & Delivery & corrective action
• Developing & implementing innovative approaches in cost reduction
• To assess / negotiate investments involved for tooling's / vendor aid requirement for components development
• To support the pricing cell in selection of vendor as per guiding policy for the part

Experience

• PPAP, New Part Development System (MP, EP, VP, PP), APQP, SPC, and Problem-solving techniques
• GD&T knowledge
• Hands on experience on SAP MM module
• MS Office Knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Commercial knowledge on various taxation & Inco terms
