Responsibilities

• Managing the entire process of part development from initial design to final production.
• Ensuring parts meet quality standards throughout the development and production lifecycle.
• Working to achieve QCD targets for all new products and improvements to existing products.
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring capacity and adherence to timelines.

Job description

Part Development:Managing the entire process of part development, from initial design to final production.

Quality Assurance:Ensuring that parts meet quality standards throughout the development and production lifecycle.

Cost Management:Working to achieve QCD (Quality, Cost, and Delivery) targets for all new products and improvements to existing products.

Supplier Management:Developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring their capacity and adherence to timelines.

Risk Management:Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation plans.

Reporting:Providing regular updates on project progress and performance.

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

Manufacturing Processes:

Deep understanding of manufacturing processes for electrical components,switches and machined components.

Materials:

Knowledge of various material grades and their suitability for specific applications in gear and shaft manufacturing.

Surface Treatment:

Familiarity with surface treatment processes like painting, plating, and powder coating.

APQP:

Experience with APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and its application in part development.

Quality Tools:

Proficiency in using quality tools and processes to ensure seamless flow of information on quality concerns.

Ability to develop and procure components from vendors within time, cost, and quality objectives.

Experience in vendor analysis, rationalization, capacity assessment, and time frame agreement.

Design Review:

Ability to review design and manufacturing feasibility assessments with R&D.

Problem Solving:

Proactive identification and resolution of issues, maintaining quality standards.
