Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically strong Sr. Manager / Manager - Technical Services to support our growing Green Steel business. The role will be responsible for providing technical leadership across Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) and Hot Briquetted Iron (HBI) operations, supporting commercial discussions with global customers and suppliers, and driving technical excellence across iron-making projects.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong metallurgical background with hands‑on exposure to DRI/HBI production processes, process optimization, product quality management, and international commercial engagements.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Services & Process Excellence
  • Provide technical expertise on Iron Making processes, with primary focus on Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) and Hot Briquetted Iron (HBI) production.
  • Analyze process performance, metallization levels, carbon content, productivity, energy consumption, and product quality parameters.
  • Support optimization of DRI/HBI manufacturing processes to improve operational efficiency and product performance.
  • Evaluate and recommend process improvements, technology upgrades, and best practices.
  • Support troubleshooting of operational challenges related to iron-making processes.
Commercial & Customer Technical Support
  • Act as technical interface between customers, suppliers, operations, and commercial teams.
  • Review technical specifications, tender documents, and customer requirements.
  • Support contract negotiations by providing technical and commercial insights.
  • Engage with international customers, traders, steel producers, and technology providers regarding DRI/HBI applications and quality parameters.
  • Prepare technical proposals, product presentations, and business development materials.
Market & Product Development
  • Analyze global DRI/HBI market trends, quality requirements, and emerging technologies.
  • Support development of new business opportunities for Green Steel products.
  • Conduct technical benchmarking against industry standards and competitor products.
  • Provide technical assessment for new projects, investments, and partnerships.
Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborate with operations, R&D, quality, procurement, logistics, and commercial teams.
  • Build strong relationships with overseas customers, consultants, technology licensors, and industry stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization in technical forums, conferences, and customer meetings.
Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgical Engineering / Metallurgy
  • Master's Degree in Metallurgy or Materials Engineering preferred
Experience
  • Around 15 years of relevant experience in:
