Job summary

SV Management Consultants seeks a PPC leader to drive end-to-end Production Planning & Control for a leading automotive group. You will own the Master Production Schedule and ensure timely material availability, coordinating with SCM, Purchase, Stores, Quality and Engineering.

The role emphasizes plan adherence, production efficiency, and SAP/ERP-based PPC systems, with strong cross-functional collaboration and KPI ownership.

Qualifications

• Experience in Production Planning & Control in automotive OEMs (Bus/Truck/Commercial Vehicle).

• Lead end-to-end Production Planning & Control for commercial vehicle manufacturing.
• Develop and execute Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on demand and capacity.

• Ensure timely material availability in coordination with SCM, Purchase and Stores.
• Manage MRP, BOM, WIP and Finished Goods planning.
• Monitor plan vs. actual production and identify gaps.

Job description

We are looking for a PPC professional to lead the entire function for a Leading Group in Auto Sector. He should be primarily from Bus, Truck or Commercial Vehicle manufacturing/OEM environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Production Planning & Control, MPS, MRP, capacity planning, material planning and production scheduling.

This is a core PPC role and is not a production-focused position.

Role & responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Production Planning & Control for commercial vehicle manufacturing.
• Develop and execute Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on demand and capacity.
• Drive production scheduling, line loading and capacity planning.
• Ensure timely material availability in coordination with SCM, Purchase and Stores.
• Manage MRP, BOM, WIP and Finished Goods planning.
• Monitor plan vs. actual production and identify gaps.
• Drive corrective actions to improve plan adherence and production efficiency.
• Coordinate with Production, SCM, Purchase, Quality, Engineering and suppliers.
• Develop and monitor PPC KPIs, planning accuracy and inventory levels.
• Support new model introduction, new line planning and capacity expansion.
• Drive optimization of inventory, production flow and resource utilization.
• Strengthen SAP/ERP-based planning and control systems.
• Prepare and review PPC MIS, dashboards and management reports.
• Preferred candidate profile- BE/ B. Tech in engineering with working experience of 16 + years in Automotive OEMs with strong experience in PPC / Production Planning & Control.
• Mandatory experience in Bus / Truck / Commercial Vehicle / Vehicle OEM manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of MPS, MRP, capacity planning, material planning and production scheduling.
• Experience in complete vehicle manufacturing will be highly preferred.
• Strong exposure to SAP / ERP-based PPC systems.
• Good understanding of BOM, inventory, WIP and material flow.
• Strong cross-functional coordination and analytical skills.
