Job summary

Tata Consulting Engineers Limited is seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer with 10+ years in hydro power projects. You will lead design, planning, and tender activities for 25MW-scale hydro schemes, coordinating engineers and designers in a consulting environment.

Responsibilities include feasibility studies, code compliance, BOQ estimation, and client interfacing. Strong communication and international exposure are advantageous.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in hydro projects.
• Experience on a detailed hydro project of 25MW capacity.
• Independently managed a team of engineers and designers.
• Strong knowledge of hydro power design including structural analysis using ANSYS, NISA, ETABS, STAAD Pro.
• Experience in planning & design of medium/large hydro schemes.
• Good communication skills; international exposure is a plus.

• Prepare independently layouts and tender documents; bid evaluation.
• Review contractors'/designers' designs and drawings for hydro projects.
• Analysis, design, detailing, coordination & preparation of construction drawings for hydro structures.

• Familiarity with Indian, British, American and European Codes.
• Estimation of BOQ and drawings; AutoCAD experience.
• Interact with client and site team to resolve technical/project issues.

Experience

• Minimum 10+ yrs of Experience with experience in Hydro projects worked atleast one detailed Engineering project of 25MW capacity and independently manged a team of Engineers and designers of Hydro Projects with consulting environment
• Have strong technical skills and proven experience in hydro power design including experience in structural analysis using software like ANSYS, NISA, ETABS, STAAD Pro
• Experience in planning & design of medium/large hydropower schemes.
• Project Management Experience
• International experience would be an added advantage.
• Have good communication capabilities- oral, written and presentation skills.

Qualification

• B.E, B.Tech or M.E / M.Tech – Civil / Structural Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning & design of medium/large hydro power projects
• Prepare independently layouts and tender documents for the above, bid evaluation, review of contractors / designers designs and drawings for Hydro Power Projects.

• Analysis, design, detailing, coordination & preparation of construction drawings related to hydro power structures like dams/barrages, underground structures, Powerhouse etc.,
• Feasibility and Due Diligence Studies.
• Familiarity with Indian, British, American and European Codes would be an added advantage.

• Analysis and design of RCC with various codes and standard Indian as well as international.
• Estimation of BOQ and preparation of drawing. Hands on experience in AutoCAD will be added advantage.
• Candidate should interact with client and site team to resolve the technical and project related issues. Review of MQP and FQP for the Civil works.
• Discussion with All Stakeholders involved in project.
