Job summary

Tata Consulting Engineers Limited (TCE) seeks an experienced Electrical Power Plant Design Engineer for Vadodara. You will lead design, procurement and estimation activities for electrical systems on power projects, ensuring safety and adherence to standards.

Requirements: 8–12 years in power plant design; BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Electrical; familiarity with ETAP, DIALux, Aveva E3D and Navisworks. This role offers a path for growth within a global engineering leader.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years in power plant design.
• Electrical engineering degree as listed.
• Experience with electrical design and procurement workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and procurement activities for electrical systems/equipment.
• Prepare RFQs for major electrical packages.
• Review vendor prints and wiring diagrams.
• Develop layouts and drawings (GA, cable/conduit, earthing, lighting).
• Exposure to ETAP, protection studies and load flow analysis.
• Estimate BOQs for cabling, earthing and lighting.
• Coordinate relay settings and on-site inspections if needed.

Qualification

BE / BTech / ME / MTech - Electrical

Key Responsibilities

• Design and procurement activities related to electrical systems / equipment.
• Sizing calculations for all major electrical equipment or systems.
• Preparation of RFQs for major electrical packages
• Vendor print review for all electrical equipment or systems along with cable schedules & interconnection wiring diagrams
• Exposure on Layouts such as General Arrangement drawings, Cable & conduit drawings, Earthing & Lightning Protection drawings, Lighting drawings.
• Exposure on Control and protection, review of schematics for EHV, MV & LV systems.
• Exposure to Load flow, Short circuit, Largest Motor starting studies using ETAP.
• Estimation of BOQs for cabling, earthing, lightning & lighting systems.
• Exposure to relay setting and co-ordination
• Inspection services for major electrical equipment (Optional)
• Familiarity in ETAP, DIALux, AutoGrid Pro, etc.
• Familiarity in 3D Engineering tools Aveva E3D, Hexagon Smart 3D, Navisworks
