Job summary

BLR Logistiks (i) Limited in Navi Mumbai is seeking a Vendor Management professional to identify, onboard and manage fleet vendors and brokers across the country.

You will negotiate contracts, monitor compliance, and optimize vehicle supply costs while tracking performance metrics and maintaining a Pan-India database of fleet owners. Strong Excel and data analysis skills are essential for this role in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics or related field.
• Proven vendor development, procurement and fleet sourcing experience in transport/logistics.
• Strong Excel, data analysis tools and contract management skills.

Responsibilities

• Vendor Management: Identify, assess, and onboard vendors/brokers; build long-term relationships and resolve issues.
• Negotiation & Contracts: Secure favorable terms, ensure compliance, and monitor performance.
• Operations & Cost Control: Optimize vehicle supply costs and track metrics.
• Tech & Data Analysis: Develop online vehicle placement app, analyze metrics in Excel, and prepare PowerPoint presentations.
• Market Intelligence: Track real-time broker market rates and manage nationwide database of fleet owners.

Role & responsibilities

• Vendor Management: Identify, assess, and onboard vendors/brokers based on vehicle requirement clusters. Cultivate long-term relationships and resolve service issues.
• Negotiation & Contracts: Secure favorable terms, manage compliance, and continuously monitor vendor performance against contractual obligations.
• Operations & Cost Control: Optimize vehicle supply costs, track customer placement metrics (indent vs. actual), and manage vehicle tracking updates.
• Tech & Data Analysis: Implement an online vehicle placement app, analyze performance metrics using advanced Excel, and build strategic PowerPoint presentations.
• Market Intelligence: Maintain real-time knowledge of broker market rates and manage a Pan-India database of fleet owners and vendors.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven track record in vendor development, procurement, and fleet sourcing specifically within the transport/logistics industry.
• Technical Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency, data analysis tool expertise, and strong contract management capabilities.
