Responsabilidades

• Identify, onboard, and manage transportation vendors and carriers.

• Monitor market trends and fuel prices to optimize costs.
• Ensure transport capacity availability to meet business needs.
• Analyze spend and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Drive procurement via RFQs, RFPs, and reverse auctions.
• Establish and monitor carrier KPIs (OTD, transit time, cost, quality).
• Build strong carrier relationships and resolve escalations.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with warehouse, planning, finance, and operations teams.
• Prepare sourcing reports and dashboards.
• Support TMS implementation and digital initiatives.

Job Summary

The Senior Manager – Transportation Sourcing will be responsible for developing and executing transportation sourcing strategies, managing carrier relationships, negotiating transportation contracts, optimizing freight costs, and ensuring reliable logistics operations. The role requires close collaboration with operations, finance, and business stakeholders to drive cost efficiency while maintaining high service levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement transportation sourcing strategies across road, rail, air, and multimodal logistics.
• Identify, evaluate, onboard, and manage transportation vendors and carriers.
• Lead commercial negotiations for freight rates, service agreements, and annual contracts.
• Monitor market trends, fuel prices, and freight indices to optimize transportation costs.
• Ensure timely availability of transport capacity to support business requirements.
• Analyze transportation spend and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Drive transportation procurement through RFQs, RFPs, and reverse auctions.
• Establish and monitor carrier KPIs, including on-time delivery, vehicle availability, transit time, freight cost, and service quality.
• Build strong relationships with transport partners and resolve operational escalations.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, company policies, and transportation regulations.
• Collaborate with warehouse, planning, finance, and operations teams to improve logistics efficiency.
• Prepare sourcing reports, cost analyses, and management dashboards.
• Support digital transformation initiatives and transportation management system (TMS) implementation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• MBA in Supply Chain or Operations is preferred.

Experience

• 8–12 years of experience in transportation sourcing, logistics procurement, or supply chain.
• Experience in 3PL, manufacturing, retail, FMCG, automotive, or logistics industries is preferred.
• Strong exposure to freight procurement and transportation contract management.
