Job summary

Jio World Centre seeks an experienced IT Data Centre and Infrastructure Manager to oversee operations, maintenance and lifecycle management of the DC and related IT services. You will ensure high availability, capacity planning and secure, resilient infrastructure aligned with business needs.

The role requires expertise in DC operations, virtualization, cloud platforms, and security controls, with strong vendor coordination and cross-functional collaboration across IT teams.

Qualifications

• BE/MCA/Masters in IT/Computer Engg required.
• 10+ years of experience in IT data centre/enterprise infrastructure.
• Certifications in VMware, Azure, AWS or Google Cloud preferred.
• Strong knowledge of DC operations, security, DR and BCP.
• Experience in capacity planning, system integration, and lifecycle management.

Job description

The incumbent is responsible for managing the operations, maintenance, and lifecycle of the IT Data Centre and IT Infrastructure Services at Jio World Centre. The role oversees enterprise IT infrastructure, network and security architecture, system integrations, and lifecycle management from High-Level Design (HLD) to Low-Level Design (LLD). It provides technical governance and consultancy for IT projects, ensuring secure, resilient, and highly available infrastructure through effective architecture, cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Ensuring 100 % System availability and Smooth Operations of Core DC hosted services and Infrastructure at JWC.
• DC Operations, Rack Management, Power Provisioning, Load Capacity planning.
• Cloud Computing, Virtualization, VM Ware, V Centre, VCloud.
• Design, Build, Operate Knowledge of Infra Platform Services for server/storage hosting services.
• Capacity planning to meet system infra requirements from business.
• Review the system growth and make required provisioning accordingly.
• Review Demand v/s Capacity Plans with business and make provision plans.
• Review System Performances wrt System Capacity / System Parameters to ensure great user experience
• Work with System Security Team to ensure high system security compliance.
• Ensure healthy system state and manage the Complete System Infra.
• Timely Coordination and Help to conduct VAPT & Information Security compliance and also coordination all domain leads to close all finding timely during VAPT.
• Review and ensure compliance for AV, System, OS, Devices Patch Management and ensure no loop holes.
• Expert in ensuring zero vulnerabilities and work with OEM for closure if found.
• Continual review of System Configuration for vulnerabilities and Architecture review.
• Design and Implement Best Practices of System Engg & Security system.
• Firmware upgrade of complete packages where ever it is possible
• Application upgrade for packages where the same is required.
• Review Operation support during major incident (S1 & S2), Review RCA provided by Service provider.
• Hardware provisioning for new and ongoing Projects
• Solution designing for all packages, which are under Physical Security and communication system umbrella.
• Ensure high System availability for all Subsystems like AV Systems, CCTV, Wi-Fi, POS, IPTV, BMS, Telephony and VC etc. across JWC.
• Prepare plans for development and installation of data centre according to present and future requirements.
• Monitor all software and hardware products and ensure compliance to Data Centre standards and systems.
• Administer installation and maintenance of organization data centre.
• Monitor all activities related to analysis and implement all data centre plans.
• Supervise designing and evaluation of all server systems according to measurement of process.
• Perform troubleshoot on data centre, identify issues and assist in timely resolution of it.
• Manage and perform research to design new advanced data centre.
• Ensure adherence to all established guidelines and management practices for employees.
• Coordinate with various departments and perform integration of critical systems into infrastructure.
• Coordinate with IT, enhancement and business teams and develop strategies to ensure achievement of data centre capacity.
• Maintain expert knowledge on all applications and its use on systems for various critical systems.
• Ensure client satisfaction and provide optimal level of customer services for various departments.
• Maintain effective professional relationships with IT relationship managers.
• Maintain expert knowledge on all business procedures associate with assets and capacity.
• Monitor all functional resources required for growth and ensure appropriate working.
• Meeting with different OEM and discussion on latest available technology.
• Compliance to framework of vendor management of RIL IT Agencies.
• Support for strategic IT innovation Projects through structured program life cycle of planning, design & consultancy of IT Department.
• Internal stakeholder management like (Finishes, B-Ops, Egg, Security, Car Parking, BMS, IBS, other Ops teams Etc.) for their strategic IT innovation Projects
• Interface with hardware OEM for new requirements and service betterment.
• Making sure Zero gap in System and Security System packages by AMC/CMC/O&M status.
• Plan and track the DC inventory and its service life cycle for AMC/ CMC/ upgrades.
• Preparation of detailed NFA, Scope of work and SLA doc for CMC Coverage
• PR preparation, Technical evaluation and follow-up with P&C team for PO release.
• Review Vendor Supported Services, SLA measurements of Support Services rendered by Vendor.
• Escalate wherever necessary when there are SLA gaps/violations by vendor for appropriate correction as per SLA agreement.
• Review Vendor Organization for Shift Management/Handover/Uptime/Service Management.
• Preparation of detailed NFA, Scope of work and SLA doc for CMC Coverage
• PR preparation, technical evaluation, and follow-up with P&C team for PO release.
• Review Vendor Organization for Shift Management/Handover/Uptime/Service Management.
• Ensuring quality hand over, take over (HOTO) of all documents, drawings, and manuals in physical as well as digital form of records.

SKILLS/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

• Proficient in Design & Architecture review of System, System Security and System WIFI.
• Proficient in understanding the System Integration Requirements with IT Systems, IT Application and other IT supported IT business systems.
• Skilled in understanding full Life Cycle of System Design & Management from HLD to LLD and consequent implementation.
• Requirement Analysis, Preparing High level architecture and Solution Building blocks.
• Technical Evaluation. Analysis of OEM proposed solution and preparation of BOQ and Technical Specification keeping in view industry standards.
• BOQ preparation for complete Project including System, Storage, OS and DC related works.
• Hands-on experience on managing IT Infrastructure services i.e. System and Security Devices. System & Security System Technology – Server, Cloud SW. VM Ware, Storage.
• Converged Compute Infrastructure (Integrated Compute, Switching, Routing, Proxy, Firewall)
• Worked on Business Resiliency Solution (High Availability, Load Balancer, Disaster Recovery), Tool driven DR site Switch-over, Tool based Data Replication, RTO/RPO management.
• Strong communication skills with command of the English language (both written and oral).
• Strong eye for detail and identifying loopholes.
• Ability to manage a sense of urgency and timelines.
• Ability to demonstrate problem solving and ability to handle various projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

EXPERIENCE:

• 10-12 years of experience with at least 8 + years of work experience in Implementation and 5+ years of experience in Solution Designing for System & Security System preferably from a mid to large size IT and Global Cloud System Provider / OEMs.
