Perfetti Van Melle is seeking a Sr. Maintenance Executive - Electrical for our Rudrapur site. You will oversee electrical breakdown responses, troubleshoot faults, and ensure minimal downtime across production and utilities.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, sensor and drive (VFD) care, and strict adherence to safety protocols. Responsibilities include preventive and predictive maintenance, equipment health monitoring, and coordination with other departments for smooth plant operations.

Qualifications

• B.Tech in Electrical Engineering required.
• 7–8 years of FMCG industry experience in electrical maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and maintenance practices.

Responsabilités

• Attend to electrical breakdowns during the shift to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot faults in production and utility equipment and restore safely.
• Monitor health and performance of electrical systems and critical equipment.
• Provide electrical support to Production and Utilities for smooth plant operations.

• Inspect panels, motors, sensors, cables, MCCs/PCCs, and control systems.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Attend to electrical breakdowns during the shift and ensure minimum equipment downtime.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults in production and utility equipment and restore equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitor the health and performance of electrical systems, machines and critical equipment during the shift.
• Provide timely electrical support to Production, Utilities and other functions for smooth plant operations.
• Coordinate with Production and other departments during breakdowns and planned maintenance activities.
• Ensure proper shift handover, including breakdown history, pending jobs and critical observations.

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

• Execute preventive maintenance activities as per the defined maintenance schedule.
• Inspect electrical panels, motors, sensors, cables, MCCs, PCCs, control systems and other electrical equipment.
• identify potential electrical failures and take corrective actions proactively.
• Maintain equipment history, checklists and maintenance records.
• Support implementation of predictive maintenance practices for critical electrical equipment.

Electrical Troubleshooting

• Diagnose faults related to motors, starters, contactors, relays, sensors, VFDs, control panels and electrical circuits.
• Troubleshoot PLC-related electrical issues and coordinate with automation/controls teams wherever required.
• Identify recurring breakdowns and support root cause analysis and permanent corrective actions.
• Support electrical modifications and improvement projects to enhance machine reliability.

Electrical Safety & Compliance

• Ensure strict adherence to electrical safety procedures during maintenance activities.
• Follow LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures before carrying out electrical maintenance.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and safe working practices by self and maintenance technicians.
• Support statutory inspections, audits and compliance related to electrical systems.
• Maintain electrical equipment and work areas in safe and orderly condition.
• Report unsafe conditions, electrical hazards and potential risks immediately.

Spare Parts & Maintenance

• Monitor availability and condition of critical electrical spares.
• Support identification of critical spares and maintain minimum stock levels.
• Ensure proper utilization of electrical consumables and spares.
• Coordinate with stores/procurement for timely availability of required materials.
• Maintain breakdown reports, PM records, shift reports, and other maintenance documentation.
• Analyze breakdown trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in Kaizen, TPM, cost-saving and energy-saving initiatives.
• Support projects aimed at improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and improving maintenance efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with plant maintenance systems, SOPs, and work instructions.

OUR PERFECT CANDIDATE

Qualifications: B.Tech in Electrical Engineering

Experience: 7–8 years in the FMCG industry. Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and maintenance.
