Global Engineering is seeking a Sr Lead Software Engineer (Front-End Technical Lead) to provide technical leadership for the design, development, and delivery of modern web applications and digital platforms. This role serves as a senior technical leader and principal designer, partnering closely with business stakeholders, product managers, UX designers, architects, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, responsive, secure, and user‑centric solutions. The ideal candidate combines deep hands‑on expertise in React, TypeScript, modern front‑end architecture, micro front‑end development, and AI‑assisted software engineering with strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills. This individual will influence technical direction across multiple teams, mentor engineers, and drive front‑end engineering best practices while contributing to strategic business initiatives.
In‑depth conceptual and practical knowledge of front‑end engineering, web application architecture, user experience design principles, and modern JavaScript ecosystems. Working knowledge of related disciplines including cloud platforms, APIs, security, DevOps, accessibility, and software quality engineering. Ability to apply industry best practices and understand how front‑end solutions integrate with enterprise platforms and back‑end services. Knowledge of modern software architecture principles including component‑driven development, micro front‑end architecture, API‑first design, and scalable web applications. Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, browser compatibility, and front‑end performance optimization techniques. Awareness of emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitive factors influencing digital experiences and front‑end engineering practices. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences. Strong collaboration and consensus‑building skills across cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
For internal applications - 12 months as Lead (currently P3) Acts as a technical resource and mentor for engineers and teams with less experience. Leads small to medium‑sized technical initiatives with manageable risk, scope, and resource requirements. Exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information to determine the best technical solutions. Impacts customer, operational, project, and service activities within their team and across related engineering teams. Works independently within broad guidelines, policies, and enterprise standards. Contributes to architecture reviews, engineering governance, and strategic technology planning efforts. Applies best practices and understands how front‑end platforms integrate with other enterprise systems and technology domains.
