Job summary

Northern Trust Pune office is seeking a Senior Lead to support Wealth Management applications. You will stay at the forefront of data integration, ETL pipelines and cloud-based data services, and work within cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

The role requires 12+ years of data engineering experience with Azure, DataStage, Python, and DevOps practices. You will mentor peers, troubleshoot incidents, and help design resilient data pipelines that meet SLA commitments.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience with Azure cloud services and data platforms.
  • Experience with DataStage or other ETL tools and data pipeline development.
  • Strong knowledge of Python, PySpark SQL, Unix/Linux, and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Wealth Management App Support team to implement end-to-end solutions.
  • Integrate with different tech teams and understand applications and data flows.
  • Address incidents on the queue and develop long-term, cost-efficient solutions.
  • Mentor and coach teammates; participate in DR planning and testing.

As a Sr Lead, you are responsible for supporting various DataStage applications. You work hard to stay on top of fast changing technology and invest a lot of energy in learning new tricks. You are caught up on industry trends in client development frameworks and also anticipate what the near future will bring. Furthermore, you bring 12+ years of experience with Must Have Azure Cloud Services, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Gen2, Azure Key Vault, Cosmos DB, Azure Storage, Python, PySpark SQL / PL-SQL, Data Engineering & ETL Development, Data Pipeline Development Database Technologies (Any RDBMS), Unix/Linux, Control-M, Neo4j Good to Have Snowflake, GitHub, CI/CD, DevOps, DataStage or other ETL tools, Apollo.

Roles & Responsibilities

As a partner on the Wealth Management Application Support team, you will be an integral part of one of our nimble, cross-functional teams innovating an entire industry. As a Senior Lead, you will: Partner with the development team, business support and end users to support and implement end to end solutions. Integrate with different tech teams and understand the different applications and application flow. Proactive on addressing the incidents raised on the queue and finding the long-term, cost-efficient solutions for them. Follow up on the incidents across different teams and look for a resolution within the SLA of the incident. Use the programming knowledge to create or modify scripts and programs. Constantly look for better ways of solving technical problems and designing the solution by not being afraid of challenging the status quo. Mentor and coach others on the team. Support existing software systems and platforms and hook in applications to applicable data sources Create and maintain Disaster Recovery plans and participate in DR Testing Participate in knowledge transfer sessions to understand the application that is being transferred to support.
